I am thinking the same thing. The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is if you can fit twin centrifugals why couldn't Ford keep with the ecoboost theme and go twin turbos?
They can. It's a matter of strategy.

If Ford wants TT, THEN GREENLIGHT IS GIVEN to reengineer some things.

If not, then we will see it in the s650.

I find the idea of twin centris to be about as ridiculous as AWD. The only company I know of who's done that was Koenigsegg and they only did it for a single model then switched to twin turbos.

It's practically an all-new engine.

If it's putting out 800+ hp, it's gonna have to be a little more hefty.
Maybe,....but look at all the S500 Mustangs that are close to 800rwhp and passing emissions with Whipples and VMP superchargers.
The new TVS is more efficient than those and allows for more power. Pus, add the 5.2 engine
We shall see soon I guess. I'm thinking this car is going to be announced next month in September. Of course, I'm just speculating here.

Yes this is more efficient than eatons previous model. Is there any research how this will compare to other brands? It sounds like whipples kit for the 2018 mustang will perform better as well!
I have no idea. I doubt the Whipple will be on the new GT500, but the new TVS 2650 "may" be.
I'm sure Whipple have a killer kit for the new Mustang model.

Definite hood "bulge" and very wide back tires..........but who knows, the hood bulge could be there just to throw people off.
Old news now, but that was indeed at GT500 - a former student of mine was driving the Porsche. Interesting tidbit - they put a fake shifter in the prototype.
