Yikes. That's scary, first one I've heard of in the uk.

Know any details? Was it one of these hi tech, remote key fob night time jobs?

Or just an opportunist?

Will certainly keep a look out.

By all accounts, broke into the house to get the keys and then stole both cars. So they weren't messing around, not an opportunist if you know what I mean.

Second one i've seen... THIS WEEK. Got in, stole the keys for his car and left, same as your guys... I think it was around the same area :O

I rather feel that if my car is stolen and thrashed to hell, I'd rather not see it again. Few stories on Pistonheads about stolen recovereds and just the state of the car is a shocker. One bloke had a Golf R recovered, engine fucked, interior trashed, clonking from the suspension and all four wheels kerbed to hell. The insurance company wanted to fix it...

I always take my keys upstairs and put them in a drawer. If they did come upstairs they'd be a nice surprise for them

Can you tell the owner to report the VIN/REG no to ford asap and they'll put a stolen marker on it. Police can also track it through ANPR cameras.

Thanks, police have spotted it on several ANPR cameras so fingers crossed they catch the buggers!

It’s shocking to hear this, I hope it gets returned unscathed.

Slight off topic but why would you steal a Mustang? Let's be as conspicuous as possible!

I hope they find the car and it's still in serviceable condition.

My neighbours R8 was stole about 8+ years ago.

Bit of an update. The thieves lost control of it and smashed it up good and proper. Found in Leighton Buzzard Most likely a write off. They managed to get away though so they’ll likely get away with it.

Massive coincidence. My mate lives in L Buzzard and when i asked him about it he asked if it was red, as he heard/saw idiots messing around with a Mustang. Apparently he may have something on cctv - the way they were driving it, they were not pros but joy riders

That's annoying, sometimes being stolen and lost is better than stolen and found damaged and thus getting back a CAT C/D and prestolen car.

I'm glad it's been found, but i wish they got caught.

This was pretty much a guaranteed outcome. A combination of idiot chav scum and a high power RWD car= disaster.:rant:

We should be glad they didn’t take out an innocent pedestrian or another motorist
