Project "Anna"

So with all the time that has passed, it seemed like a good idea to keep a more updated log here on the first page. Going to keep all of the original stuff, since it goes to show the progress made. Definitely getting tough to remember all of the mods, so this should help.

Picked her up about a month ago and have shared some pictures on that thread, but I think I can officially call her a project now. She's a GT premium with the performance package, 50th anniversary AP and nav.

So far the windows have been tinted 20%; the tails, markers, reverse light, headlights and fogs have all been tinted; roof wrapped in a gloss black vinyl, as well as the hood vents and the inner cowl. A clear bra has also been put on the entire front end, mirrors and sides of the rear bumper. I have new badges sitting at home waiting for me to get the free time to scuff and paint them gloss black.

Next on the list: This week I will be painting new replacement badges, coil covers, upper-intake cover. Exhaust (waiting for Corsa ), suspension upgrades - once i decide H&R springs or coil-over, and wheels will be done before spring hits and hopefully a white Whipple will be on shortly after. I did some messing around on Photoshop and think I have my ride height figured out. I may even put spacers on (as much as I don't like them) to get the wheels flush until I figure out what I want for wheels.

UPDATE: So the new badges are painted (gloss black) and I'm currently just waiting for the white vinyl decimal inserts to come in from Zombie (thanks again!) and then they'll be on. LED interior lights are on their way, along with spacers to get the wheels flush. Also added a couple pictures of Lloyd's 50 Years floor mats with the trunk mat. They look great.

UPDATE (04/07/15): With mods adding up, it's time to start keeping a list to make it easier. So far:
-Black vinyl on roof, hood vents and hood cowl
-White vinyl on chrome anniversary grille (still need to do the tail light bezels)
-White vinyl ponies on the center caps
-Tinted windows (20%), tinted lights (all)
-Painted coil covers and intake cover
-Painted 5.0 badges
-Redline hood struts (still need to be painted and installed)
-Lloyd 50 Years mats
-Steeda IRS subframe bushing
-Eibach Sportline springs
-JLT color matched CAI
-Corsa Xtreme 3" catback - black tips
-Lund tune


I've got a lot more things in the works for her- My Termi build has been taking most of my attention since I have her apart again.

What tint did you use one the headlights?

All of the lights were done using Lamin X. Great company and awesome products.

Nice. Im guessing that is gunsmoke? Did you install yourself from sheets or did you have a shop do it?

The front lights are all in gunsmoke, yes. The tails and side-markers are much darker. I had a shop do it. They did the lights, tint and vinyl all at once.

Have you been able to find replacement badging (other that the 5.0)?

Thanks Zombie! :cheers: I've already ordered some black wheel spacers for the PP wheels. I'm having a hard time finding springs that I think will achieve the look I want. I guess I can wait for more aftermarket... not like she's coming out of the garage any time soon.

I'm not a big fan of the look though. I like things simple and clean- less is more.

I agree, one of the nicest cars on the forum. Good luck with the ride height, the photo shop makes me think I might be able to tolerate the PP wheels...

Thanks Milo! I agree- I think with the right ride height and getting the wheels flush will makes the PP wheels look much better. I know I've gotten comments about how much more the wheels stand out now with the black accents on the rest of the car.
Anotherneon, sorry it took so long to get pics of the lights at night. It won't stop raining here so I just decided to take pics in the garage. I barely notice a difference with headlight visibility and everything is still very bright, even in the day.

So it's been a while since I've done any updates... I just have not really had time to do anything with her lately; work has been crazy.

Sitting at home are my new, freshly painted 5.0 badges with the white decimal vinyls(courtesy of Zombie ), LED lights and Redline hood struts. Once they get on, I will definitely get some pics. The only thing I've really done lately is put in the new Lloyd mats, lol. I did, however happen to find some pictures of Anna when all of the tint and vinyl was getting done. I don't have a Facebook, so I had no idea that the guys at BG Window had pictures of her on there. Anyway, I thought I would share them! Really, I just like posting pics of my car :clap2:
