The difference is from what I'm learning the stock t stat is a "cold side" t stat and the evenflo is a "hot side" t stat.

The Reische is a cold side like the stock one

I have a PP, 170 thermostat and whipple SC. The highest temps that I see are 185; maybe 186. That is after my Lund tune. Before, without changing my tune for the thermostat I would see 196.

But, if you are going to change the thermostat, save yourself time and get a hose clamp. I used one and didn't have to drain my radiator. Didn't even crawl under my car for it lol.

so from my limited understanding the evenflo *160 packaged with the lund tune and ngauge isn't the best in this "Cold Side" coyote application? Just tryin to figure out why one was used over the other, or better yet recently switch?

evenflo is livernois brand of thermostat.

there were availability issues with the reische, livernois is 1 day from us, never an issue with availability,

price is almost 1/2

they also have the availability of the 160s for the 2.3L ecoboost guys too, so it's overall just a better option

Yeah I inquired about the reische 170 as well and was thinking of buying that elsewhere, but for the price difference...I think I made the right choice.

I have the reische 170 with whipple and here are some pics of driving around tonight. Outside temp was 73 degrees. I was doing multiple 3rd and 4th gear pulls and I broke in some new tires with a line lock. :headbang:

Reische it is then! My temps are not that low with even flow. I see 200-210 regardless

I'm about 205-212 depending street/freeway use on a completely stock GT PP with weather here in the 60's to 70's.
