Why would anybody lean that hard on 93?

Wicked. Gonna change some perceptions for sure once the specs come out.

What do you guys think these 700whp blower cars are making at the crank? Any decent size blower is eating up around 80-100hp right off the bat. 700whp blower car and a 800whp turbo car make the same crank hp. Same amount of load. How many blower cars run around at 12psi on 93? Plenty.

This car has 17 degrees of timing in it. Lund Racing tuned it. :)

Just about everyone here does..

Twin screw/centrifugal car at 700whp = 80-100hp to drive the blower. Figure in 15-17% driveline loss for the trans/rear. So, that 700whp blower car at 12.5psi is making around 925-950bhp.

Turbo car at 800whp = 15-17% driveline loss only. And as long as you design things properly, keeping the exhaust to intake pressure ratio around 1.5:1 or less, the turbos do not hinder anything. So, your 800whp turbo car at 12.5psi is making around 925-950bhp.

Same as the blower car. Looking at the data logs, you see the same peak maf flow rates. At 17 degrees, there's 1 degree less than we run in a pump gas blower car.

Nothing to fear at this power level if the setup is proper. Hope this clears up things.. :)
