There are a ton of trams to move people around. I like watching the semis come in and unload their equipment. Wednesday is closed to the public but the parking pass on the window seems gets you in. The big crowds don’t come until Friday night.

UPDATE

I was able to call Ford Performance directly and secured a place in the Mustang Corral. Package price was recently reduced and now includes parade laps at Daytona Friday evening.

No way was I gonna take my car and leave at the mercy of some money grubbing parking lot proprietor who was gonna park cars 12 inches apart to allow for more cars. So for me, the price was worth it, so the Shelby is going and the DD Audi is staying home...

Man I wish I could be there but headed out of town in the wrong direction. My buddy will be over there on Friday after qualifying picking up some parts Dean is bringing down (cambered rear).

Cars unloaded for the Rolex 24. The new M8 BMW has a similar roof line as the mustang. Haven’t seen the Ford GT unload yet. This is the GTLM class in the 24 hour race. The mustangs are in the GS class in the 4 hour continental series. 7 total. 31 entry’s total on Friday.

Ford Performance Package came to the house via FedEx about an hour ago. Pretty impressive package, Mustang Corral Parking special access and events, meals, autograph events, etc. My '17 Ruby Red should arrive at the Mustang Corral between 1 and 1:30 on Friday. Even my wife is excited about this, and this is not normally her interest. Anybody want to meet at the corral, let me know!

Also, the Compass Race Team (colors are Orange and Black) will be running their McLaren and Audi on Friday. Why do you care? Because Steve Mason who does their tuning will be onsite. He has a shop in Jacksonville, Fl and he recently did a custom tune for me at his shop, using his eddy current dyno which is a great tuning tool. He was a consultant to the Shelby IMSA Team and has tuned several Shelby's. He did a GREAT job. This is not a knock against anyone else's tune, canned or not - but he spent serious time tweaking the car based on my goals.

I will talk more about that in another thread after I get back from Daytona.
