So much for them getting rid of the "Shelby" moniker!
The word is they just renewed the contract to use the GT500 name again a couple weeks ago.

But I wouldn’t completely rule out them using just the “Cobra” name again with that snake being present on the blower like that... and maybe a “Cobra R” to compete with the ZL1 1LE.

Actually, where exactly is the air feeding in to this.. whatever it is? I keep thinking to myself that the part that extends downward out of the shot is the supercharger drive shaft, because it looks way too small to be the TB. BUT if the shaft is there, where is the TB actually at..? I don't see anything resembling one anywhere else, and I wouldn't expect it to be below the shaft.. that's already a cramped area in the GT350 engine bay. Can't imagine there's room for it and the drive belt..

Very tough to see from that shot, with the whole front area out of sight, but the flat top design does resemble the newest 'upside down' blower style that has just been released by Whipple as the 'Gen 5'.

If the two pictures of the supercharger and front brakes are in fact legitimate, I'm starting to understand why some are referring to the car as a (((beast))) :hail:

I think the brake pic is legit. Gt350 rotors have an FR3V engineering prefix, F=2015 R3=mustang V= specialty vehicle engineering

That one has KR3V etched into it, meaning 2019 :headbang::ford:

It's either has an electrical amplifier or it's powered by the illuminati

Looks like the new GT500 is a getting a twin screw supercharger like the Hellcat getting away from the less efficient and more heat soak prone Roots type such as GM and past GT500 utilizes. This picture of a Hellcat engine bay will make this pic make a little more sense. Although it appears too narrow for intercooler bricks flanking the rotors but it is hard to judge scale based on this one pic circulating.

I like to disassemble things.

I think so too. I learned a bit ago about who it was that demanded the GT350 brakes be cross drilled. Some didn't want them but were essentially, ignored. Now that individual isn't in the same position anymore I was told you may see a bare or slotted rotor face. So this falls perfectly in line especially with the part number. I believe the rotor diameter has been increased over that of the GT350 as well.

Good eye.
