nav car sirglad to hear, nav or non-nav?
thats because ford hasnt released the next update, we all appear "up-to-date" because of this.. this version was provided by volunteers who have internal access to filesOK - I'm confused. I have a 2017 gt350 and the owner.ford website is saying that my SYNC is up to date and "the last confirmed install of an update to your vehicle was on: October 18, 2017."
The site displays:
Date Confirmed: Aug 9, 2016 Version: SYNC3 v2.0 HB5T-14G381-AJ
Am I behind on my updates? Is the link on the first page of this thread the appropriate (and only) update for me?
Shouldn't I at least have access to v2.2 or does my 2017 delivered in 2016 fall somewhere in the middle of the updates?thats because ford hasnt released the next update, we all appear "up-to-date" because of this.. this version was provided by volunteers who have internal access to files
I will be trying my second update on a long drive tomorrow. Seems like keeping the files in the folder, along with the launch file 'autoinstall', at the root level should work. Here is the contents of 'autoinstall.lst':You'll want to unzip the download, which will extract to a folder. Take what's in THAT folder (one folder, containing five .tar.gz files; two individual files), and move it to the zip drive. Make sure it's the ONLY thing on the drive.

I know, that method is the most direct, i.e. fewest steps.this isnt rocket science, download the file, insert your usb stick in your pc, go to the update file, right click, select extract all, choose extract all to your usb stick, youll now have 3 different folders/files on your usb stick, plug the usb into the car, update and enjoy
'17s all came with v2.0Shouldn't I at least have access to v2.2 or does my 2017 delivered in 2016 fall somewhere in the middle of the updates?
the new non-nav link is posted on the 1st postIs it possible to label when only one option is updated?
I presumed that the non-Nav update was also new. I spent 2 hours and repeated attempts to update my Non-Nav to this build... only to discover as I was rereading the end of the thread that apparently, only the Nav version was updated.
Thanks!
