Do you mean an actual polarising lens filter? Or as in photo editing, using a program? Or does either one achieve similar effect?
DSLR cameras are definitely new to me.... for the moment anyway.

I have some idea about editing/programs, but I havnt done much of it in quite a while, will get back into it soon however.

But yes, at the moment, all the above pics are straight out of the camera (just using auto mode so far) ill definitely spend some time on the nicer ones at some point and see what I can do :cheers:

Yeah an actual filter on the end of lens. You get whats called a circular adjustable polarising filter. It has two layers and you turn the top layer which graduates the amount of light glare it cuts through. Genarally you have to open your lens aperture or step the shutter down approx 1/2 a stop to compensate some light loss but the output is still at peak quality. Another cool trick is to get ND graduated filter. 1 stop shift from top to bottom of the filter height (lens width) will give awesome sky whilst allowing more detail in shadowed areas of the car as that area is exposed 1 stop more open than the sky because of the ND filter.
