I bought a reverse lockout box to wire in along with my dakota digital box so I don't have to rig up a switch or anything for my reverse lockout. Trying to piece together all the misc nuts and bolts I'm missing now for mine.
Thanks Dennis!@DarkSubRosa One thing you'll need is when Lund does your tune they'll have to add in the new gear ratio's for the TR6060 to allow your cruise control work. They are familiar with this already as they added it to my tune
Can Lund do it ?HP Tuners can now adjust the ratios, no need for the converter box.
With nGauge for sure, not sure if you have a SCT X4 based tune though. Can Lund do it ?
Isnt the signal you are converting the output shaft RPM? The conversion is to mask it back to the expected gear vs output shaft rpm set in the tune. By changing the tune, the signal can be used as is.You don’t need the seed box for gear ratios. It’s needed for signal conversion.
Yes it gives the correct OSS signal to the car. It does not change gear ratio per gear. When I set up mine, I matched 4th gear (1-1) OS RPM and engine RPM via ngauge. So Lund had to change my gear ratios in my tune for my car to understand what gear I was in.Isnt the signal you are converting the output shaft RPM? The conversion is to mask it back to the expected gear vs output shaft rpm set in the tune. By changing the tune, the signal can be used as is.
Apparently cruise will still work.^^^^I don't think it's "needed"but not sure if the cruise control will work (I have never used it anyway ).
The speedo worked fine with the Magnum XL even before installing a box .
I bought both(Dakota and the MSD) .
I ended up using the MSD (the Dakota seemed complicated ).
OSS MIL was still on so had tuner shut it off in the tune .
I thought it would not but cruise still works in every gear .
Dakota box is for sale if anyone needed it .
