So I saw this awhile ago when I first looked at 2018 wiring diagram info but just assumed that it was a different intake manifold for the 5.2 GT350 as these appear when looking at 5.2 diagrams for the 2018. Now that I look at it closer though I can see the supercharger underneath!

As stated, these images appear in the official 2018 wiring diagrams available from Ford.

*Also as a note... Do not look to much into the wiring information seen in the image as it appears that the wiring file is from a GT350 as you can see it go through the supercharger intercooler in a few places and the throttle position sensor connector is just floating in space.

Not sure the DI system found on the 18 5.0 will fit under there... I also do not see any previsions for the High Pressure Fuel Pump on the passenger side cylinder head so I would not hold my breath for that.

Interesting either way. If it's not DI - that just means it will be an easier upgrade for GT350 owners ;)

Ford is typically tight lipped about everything. I wonder if this is an intentional leak to draw interest?

I like to disassemble things.
Service CD for 2018 Mustang isn't even available yet from Helm.

There were serious doubts there would be room for PDI under a traditional roots type charger. Ford waited for an "upside down" design (which was just announced) because nothing would work...

It STILL didn't work...

Maybe 750hp but I have serious reservations as to IF it can break 700.

I was told the mule engines were port fuel injected only, this fits in perfect with that. No provision on the valve cover at all.

Look closely at what what would be the flywheel were this a 5.2 GT350 engine...it looks to be a flex plate which would imply an automatic. It'd be interesting to look at the flex plate for a 5.0 with the new 10-speed as word I've been given was the GT500 would be a DCT 7-speed...

I do not..! All Ford service info is available online through motorcraftservice.com

You can selecting a 72hr pass for $21, one month, and one year subscription. I use it regularly for different projects.

It certainly does look like a flexplate and not a flywheel. The 10 speed flexplate uses 4 mounting locations for the torque converter. This one has 3. I am diving back into the diagrams to see if I can bring up a picture of the Ford GT flexplate. Stay tuned...
