Depending on price, I'm seriously considering trading in the Shelby on one of these. I am not a big fan of the red calipers- black or grey would be better. Also, I'd probably consider putting on a new decklid panel.

I'm constantly mentally flipping between the Bullitt and Shelby. IMO the Bullitt is MUST better styled (red calipers aside) but the Shelby performance and Voodoo is very attractive. I've also alway been a fan of the 60's cars and the fact they are BOTH based on 66-68 cars pulls me in both directions also.

I really liked my 08 Bullitt, but never cared much for the 3v. The Voodoo is amazing, but there is a degree of NVH with it, and it likes to be really wound up, which isn't something that you can do a lot of just driving around.

If this car is only around 25-35 hp less on 91 octane, and that difference is negligible in the lower and mid RPM range- I'll be really interested.

If it ends up being 50+ with recaros and the electronic package and I'm looking at a straight trade for my 17 350 with 6k miles, I'll keep the Shelby. The magnaride isn't something that I fell like I have to have.

Here's an interesting question, how much would you guys be willing to pay for the car? Cut off for me is 55k.

God, I want that chrome trim soooooooooo bad

If anyone here gets a Bullitt, lives in Texas, and wants black trim instead of chrome, I'll pay you for a trade! :D

I'm fearing dealer mark ups may push it over 60 in some cases.

Yeah that might be a possibility but only if you are willing to pay a mark up. Me personally I'm waiting for fall to put in my order, hopefully by that time the GT500 is open for ordering and the bullitt will be relegated to those who really want one. At 60K though it's objectively a bad buy edpecislly when you can get a slightly used c7 for gt350 for about 50.

I love the red calipers. They set off the predominantly dark colors and tie in nicely with the red tail lights.

Can't judge a car by the ridiculous asking price a greedy dealer slaps on it though. My guess is these will start under 50k and will go to 53-55k with every option. I'm expecting my non-Recaro, MR + Electronics build to be around 53k max but that's just a guess. If for some crazy reason Ford prices these so they're over 55k, I may sacrifice the options and go for a base Bullitt and/or need a dealer or manufacturer discount to keep the sticker under 55k.

Ford officially said GT500 is not coming till 2019 calendar year. They may show it at an auto show before then, but I strongly doubt ordering will be open for those till next year.

When did they say that? I haven't heard anything about that. But still, it could be a late availability 2019 MY like the PP2, which would mean orders would start in fall

It was during the short talk they gave before the GT500 teaser in Detroit:
