I'd wait to see. But if those numbers come to pass. Good for Chevy for going for it!

Those number shoud be for the corvette not camaro lol. At least it could have put some performance difference between the two! Camaro is probably not getting a power upgrade but just the body and 10 speed auto.

Horsepower bump and the A10 should definitely make it a consistent 11 second car. This is the first time I'm reading this. This would have to be the cheapest new 11 second car off the show room floor especially after dealer rebates.

Here I thought 2019 was going to be the year GM killed the Camaro again. I hope you're right and they keep improving it. Maybe the next body will have better ergonomics so it can compete better with the Mustang in sales rather than just having the performance numbers.

Over 40 years ago I remember debating with some of my buddies about big block vs small block and the phrase I remembered best was "there's no substitute for cubic inches". The truth is that if Ford came out with even a 5.5L engine, the torque and HP would increase dramatically. Chevy has refined the pushrod motor to be very efficient. However it still is antiquated compared to the DOHC Ford Coyote. GM got 82B$ and they're still using a refined 50s design. Can you imagine a 5.5 L Coyote let alone a 6.2 L? GM would never be able to compete.

I think you mean "there's no replacement for displacement"? Too which i say...forced induction. modern v8's rock. We're spoiled even compared to ten years ago.

No source, all speculation. No way the would leak the details first on the Camaro instead of the Vette. I do believe they may go with the A10 since it fits in the Camaro.

This is not confirmed. All speculation that the internet found and ran with.
