Hey all,
I just wanted to give a bit of a tip off about a new cam set that is currently in development. Most of you, at least those who have spent time in the Coyote world, have heard of Shaun at AED..one of the best in the business for tuning the Coyote family of motors.
He's been working...
More so maybe a question for David@Steeda...
Is there any possibility or plan for either 2 piece rotors or a brake upgrade kit for the base GT? It looked like AP Racing/Essex was going to do one but that seems to be fizzling out or a non-starter. I know a few people who have run the Steeda...
So who is going to be the test on this one? Obviously not me since I don't have my car yet.
Seems to me that if it will bolt up it's going to be the ticket...
CMCV's, flow to support 8,000+ rpm, lightweight.
does anyone know if the Recaro seats that Ford Racing sells for the 13s and 14 are bolt in compatible with the 15's??
I personally find them more attractive than the Recaro upgrade option
Has anyone either tried or looked into fitting the MSD 2 step on the new cars? I only ask because it doesn't seem like too much has changed in terms of the wiring harness so it would seem that they are compatible.
I know in the 2011-14 cars people found 3.31's to be the shortest effective gear with the fastest times. Given the transmission ratios have not changed, wouldn't it stand to reason the same holds true?
So I know they're due out in Q1(ish) of this year..and it seems there will be two flavors of it, a drag and road k-member..
Any ideas on the pricing and weight savings on both? It seems like that's another 15-25 lbs that can be shaved off the front of the car.
Anyone hear anything in the wind about fiberglass or CF hoods yet for the S550's?
I'm still a ways off from ordering, but am very interested in a lighter weight, functional GT350 "inspired" hood for the GT..
So there are two schools of thought it seems when it comes to the 5.0's...
3"=More is better
2.5"=It doesn't need more
I keep hearing mixed reports about what is ideal. It seems most aftermarket companies go with 3" (MBRP, Corsa etc) while Ford Racing went from 3" on the last series...
GTPP being fitted with ARH LT's, catted mid's and exhaust putting down 410 RWHP untuned. As a reference point this car put down 380WHP baseline stock.
No CAI or such was mentioned. I'm guessing that when combined with an intake and tune we'll be looking at 440 WHP, maybe 450?
I'm at work...
Hey folks,
I figured since we are having just such a lovely discussion on the GTPP vs. 1LE front. I figured I would toss in a bit of a more average level discussion. Last night after work I swung by my Friendly Neighborhood Ford Store™ since they just got their first shipments of S550's in. 4...
This is what I got back:
"Jonathan we will have systems up to 2" available. Our headers for the 2014 are already a perfect fit for the 2015. Ford Racing already ran 11's with a 2015 with our headers. We're trying to locate a car to finalize the rest of the system. Hasn't been easy in the NY...
Revolution Auto just posted on their FB that their GTPP with Welds front and back (as seen in the Tires & Wheels section), canned SCT tune with a JLT ran 11.87 @ 117 with a 1.70 60'.
No weight reduction. Correction it's not a manual
Let me start by saying I get it..you can always buy a GT PP.."just get a manual" blah blah etc etc..I get it..the fact is some people don't want a manual but do want better handling. Do the PP and non-PP share the same shocks/struts? Are just the springs, brakes, etc different on the PP?
The...
Now bear with me, I know I know the Mustang has evolved beyond simple quarter mile blasts. That being said it's what I know and my background.
It seems to me the hot ticket for a quarter mile killer would be..
Base GT
Auto
3.55 gears
Lightweight battery
lighter cat - back system...
