Thank you, I just enjoyed the first page of your build thread and looking forward to reading the rest to catch up to where you are today.
This is off topic, but I like the Offroam phone holder. I am currently using a rear cup holder phone mount and don't like it being in my way for shifting...

Your story reminds me of an experience my son had with a Yamaha R1 motorcycle. He kept installing aftermarket exhaust that was supposed to increase HP by a significant amount. Every one he dumped money in proved to have reduced HP when tested on a dyno. The bottom line is aftermarket...
That's me right there!
I reset the trip counter when I got the GT350 last month - it was showing around 12 MPG. I've only driven a couple hundred miles so far and overall average of ~15 MPG. That's a 50% improvement over its 300 HP, 1,000 pounds lighter predecessor (see aviatar).
I am a...
Dang it! I wish I would have known 😕
Edit: I've owned Mercedes with two part lug bolts for years with almost no issues. I think the problem with the Ford lug nuts are related to both the high torque spec as well as confusion mixing metric and imperial sizes haphazardly on the same vehicle. My...
I visually noted the Gorilla contact seat is smaller than the OEM. I did not measure the OEM, but this thread indicates it is 30mm. The Gorilla nut is 27mm. I have also contacted CJ Pony, but no response yet.
Are you using the right size lug nuts?? Make sure the outside diameter is right!! |...
I got the Gorilla nuts from CJ Pony, but the seating face looks questionable.

I am hesitant to put 150 fl-lbs of torque on these until I feel confident they will not damage my rims.
I only experienced the surging once after about 70 or 80 miles of Interstate driving. I was in heavy traffic and not on cruise at the time. I thought it was misfiring. I plan to try the cruise control if it ever does it again, but also plan to try turning traction control off and see what that...
Mine was VERY loose. It hadn't bottomed out after several pulls and ratchets, so I know the torque was roughly, uh, ZERO!
The nut appeared to have some sort of anti-seize on it (see photo). I suspect it wasn't torqued from the factory. Myabe that's why I'm owner #7 with only 20,000 miles...
I have my new Output Flange Nut and Driveshaft Bolts in hand and will be doing this TSB tomorrow.
With that in mind, I am thinking maybe I could use the original Flange Nut as a lock nut on top of the new nut if there are enough threads left on the output shaft. I would also put locktite on it...
That is a good plan
Parts for the tone ring TSB are coming in tomorrow and I just removed the decklid panel today to put the Shelby logo back on. Carfax says last oil change was August 2025, so that's coming up on the to-do list.
So for right now, I think the lug nuts are going on...
Thank you for the video link.
Some years ago I had a GLK350 with 2 piece lug bolts. The head looked like a flower, but a metric socket worked on it. The head piece came off one of them revealing a torx head underneath. Fortunately I have a kit with larger size metric E-torx sockets so it...
I recently purchased a 2019 GT350 and trying to figure out if this is an OEM lug nut or do I have replacements?
This is one of the lug nuts:
It is tapered, so a 13/16 does not fully seat:
A 21mm fully seats. This is what I used to remove and re-install it with:
It's an old thread - pun intended - but I just broke off a piece of wooden toothpick, stuck it in the stripped hole, and used it as a wedge to tighten up the hole. Hopefully it won't rot out before April 2028 when I have to renew the plate.
