  1. Rear suspension noise after aftermarket upgrade (2019 Mustang GT non-PP)

Another update: Ford dealer for some reason can’t source the GT350 half shafts ($525.00) themselves, but Steeda has them (thanks Sergio!) so I’m going to have the dealer install them since it’s still a Ford part. Ford also recommended a trans relearn which I am also doing. Will post final...
  2. Rear suspension noise after aftermarket upgrade (2019 Mustang GT non-PP)

Another update… have the car in at Tom Wood Ford at 96th and Keystone in Indy. Diagnosis is a bad rear passenger side half shaft and assembly. Recommended service is replacement at $1657, along with a transmission relearn ($200) as a first step to help with the (light) jerk feeling shifting...
  3. Rear suspension noise after aftermarket upgrade (2019 Mustang GT non-PP)

Howdy y’all - figured I’d share an update on my journey here. Had the car in at the original shop that did the suspension work and relayed the message from Steeda on what to check. Was able to recreate both noises with the tech. The loud clacking noise was apparently due to ā€œa bunch of...
  4. Rear suspension noise after aftermarket upgrade (2019 Mustang GT non-PP)

Fair enough :) wish it was a bit of a different situation! Would love to get in and learn more about the car. Maybe one day!
  5. Rear suspension noise after aftermarket upgrade (2019 Mustang GT non-PP)

Don’t disagree but 1. Don’t have a torque wrench and 2. Don’t have a lift/jack stands. Unfortunately in an apartment with an underground garage where space is an obstacle
  6. Rear suspension noise after aftermarket upgrade (2019 Mustang GT non-PP)

Update for those following along. Called shop and called Steeda. Taking it back to the shop next week. Sergio from Steeda helped relay the issues to their lead tech, initially thought hub bearings or potential axle joint. Sent another clip (attached) and they mentioned checking the bearing...
  7. Rear suspension noise after aftermarket upgrade (2019 Mustang GT non-PP)

Assuming MR is magneride? No magneride for me :( and FWIW, car is at 93k miles.
  8. Rear suspension noise after aftermarket upgrade (2019 Mustang GT non-PP)

Totally agree - I remind myself often that I didn't buy this car for luxury when I look at the small 3" screen lol. And in the beginning the NVH didn't bother me (and still won't) - it just doesn't feel natural at all and almost makes the car feel a bit unpredictable, more-so with Noise 1...
  9. Rear suspension noise after aftermarket upgrade (2019 Mustang GT non-PP)

Hey TJ - I was on the phone a bit with Sergio back in November when I ordered parts. It's been on my to-list to give you guys a call. Any thoughts on what the issue might be?
  10. Rear suspension noise after aftermarket upgrade (2019 Mustang GT non-PP)

Yeah the rubbery clunking sound is a bit difficult to hear. Took me a little while to notice it myself and what I had to do to replicate it. The wheel bearing is a good piece of advice though - thanks. Re: doing all FP - original plan was to do the Ford Track Handling Pack, but it was on...
  11. Rear suspension noise after aftermarket upgrade (2019 Mustang GT non-PP)

@GABBA let me know what you find. Called the shop today and sent the clips, they are hopefully referring me to a shop a bit closer to me. It’s interesting you mention the cradle though… I was on the phone with the shop today and told them it almost fees like the car is rotating a bit...
  12. Rear suspension noise after aftermarket upgrade (2019 Mustang GT non-PP)

Hey everyone - Trying to track down two separate noises coming from the rear of the car. Sound clips are attached. Edit: clips came in out of order. Video 2 is Noise 1, Videos 1 & 3 are Noise 2. Noise 1 - a somewhat soft dull rubbery-sounding clunk coming from rear driver side. At times...
  13. Daily Driver / Backroad Suspension Upgrades

Following - in the exact same spot on the FP Track Handling Pack. I am a base non-PP, still on stock rims. FWIW, I first started calling around back in late July/early August and was told it was on backorder until mid-October. And now it's July 2026 šŸ˜ž Is there any particular reason you're...
