  1. INGOT SILVER S550 MUSTANG Thread

I don't know. I didn't stick around to find out. I had a trailer on and had swung back in to the gas station just to grab a few quick drive by pics. I didn't want to block any pumps and I had some business to take care of. I wish I would of had a little more free time, as I would have gotten...
  2. INGOT SILVER S550 MUSTANG Thread

Spied this one about 4 hours ago. I was pulling out of the gas station and had to swing around and grab a few pics real quick. I was super pumped to finally get to see one. Cheyenne, WY.
  3. 400 pound weight loss??

We will see. There are a lot of rumors floating around about what it will be, just like this Mustang. I had no intent of derailing the thread with talk of trucks, so back on topic: What are some other ideas as far as where they could be saving some weight? Smaller fuel tank? That is cheating...
  4. 400 pound weight loss??

I never said it was on the same level. Its the same technique. I don't understand how you feel there is an argument. The replacement of steel with aluminum allows for some of the proposed 400 lbs of weight savings and is the same technique they are using on the F150. I never said the Mustang was...
  5. 400 pound weight loss??

No its real close to the F150. They are replacing the hood, fenders, box and frame with aluminum. Once again like I said before using the same TECHNIQUE. Replacing steel with aluminum. I never stated this is where all the weight savings was coming from, just part of it. EDIT: I am obviously...
  6. 400 pound weight loss??

As far as how much the actual weight loss is who knows until Ford lets that little detail out. Where did it come from I had read that they used Aluminum in a lot of the car where I assume steel had been used in the S197 chassis. Which I can believe since they are applying the same technique to...
  7. Guess the 2015 5.0 Coyote HP and TQ numbers

I have been avoiding this one, but I would say.... 447 HP 415 TQ based on the previous Boss 302 making 444 HP and hoping that the new heads/intake can yield some better TQ numbers over the Boss.
  8. Technology package

And air conditioning. I have both in my F150 and I want it in my Mustang...ideally in a set of Recaros.
  9. S550 based Lincoln?

I would love to wind up with a 62-63 Continental sedan someday. I always thought that car was amazing. Of course I would have to put my own twist on it and probably put a 5.9 Cummins in it and slap some air bags on it.
  10. Technology package

I was really disappointed they didn't include the fish-eye/bubble mirrors. I was also annoyed my F150 didn't have fish-eye/bubble mirrors on both sides, if it was good enough for one why not both?
  11. Mustang Daytona ST (Member Concept)

The Focus ST is a sweet little ride. I test drove one this fall and would have signed papers on it if it had a sunroof. I am not new to turbo 4's ('95 Mitsu Eclipse GSX owner), the only thing that bugged me about the ST was how they limited boost in 1st and 2nd gear. But a tune could have...
  12. 2015 Mustang GT versus 2014 Camaro SS

I can honestly say that the Camaro refresh did itself no favors. The tail lights are terrible now and the front end looks awfully squinty.
  13. 2015 5.0L Coyote Engine Changes

Yeah I think a set of BorgWarner EFR turbos will be finding their way under the hood. I would really like to see FullRace build a TT EFR kit for this new Mustang. Unfortunately the only domestic product I have seen them play with is an EB F150. Everything else has been imports.
  14. The Trinity fits (Dave Perciak)

Not trying to derail any further: :threadjacked: but I missed something on my initial read of the article I linked. It states that they used the same turbos that are on the EcoBoost motors, but this little detail in the article seems to debunk that.....titanium aluminide (Gamma-Ti) turbine...
  15. The Trinity fits (Dave Perciak)

Personally I would pass on both the Voodoo and Trinity for the engine out of a TT 5.0 CJ. That alone would make me happy. FordRacing lists BorgWarner as the supplier which of course makes sense. According to this article it is the same as what they use on the ecoboosts which on the F150 is a K03...
  16. [poll] Auto or Manual next gen?

The only reason I could see that would justify an auto in my opinion is for those of us that spend a lot of time going straight and fast for a 1/4 mile. A properly set up auto for drag racing is hard to beat. I am buying a sports car, not a CobraJet (though I would love to have the TT 5.0). I...
  17. Perfect Rear Emblem?

I would say as a multivehicle branding stategy I would agree with you. But for one car I don't. Engineers/Ford made it very clear that the new Mustang was designed for the American market and would be sold globally, thus I don't think having the red, white, blue bars would be an issue. Anyone...
  18. What made you like the Mustang?

Two things sold me on the new mustang: #1 It has an interior that is actually nice and has the features I was looking for. #2 The exterior styling looks way better than what we saw in early renderings.
