this may be off topic but I noticed I'm getting compressor surge. as I accelerate hard I start to hear the turbo do its "stututu" sound while still accelerating, is me adding a good amount of preload on the waste gate causing that ?.
The 19 psi wastegate *was* installed but it created a whine which didn’t sound good for the turbo so I uninstalled it then re-installed the original waste gate that came with the NX2 and the whine went away. The waste gate that came with the NX2 is the one that is currently installed. The boost...
Ah sorry I should have been more clear, it is still a custom tune tailored to my specific car, it’s just cheaper since I can’t get any revisions. I told Ryan what was on my car/what mods are installed and he sent over the tune, I just didn’t have to pay anything since it was covered by my FFP...
The tune I got came with the NX2 kit from FFP since it was cheaper to get it as a package and it’s a one time tune (no revisions). I’ll have to get another tune one that I can get revisions on from Ryan, but that would have to wait till the end of the week. The 19psi WG I have on standby is not...
I have added quite a bit of preload already, I’ll add more in the morning and let you know if anything changes. I also have an aftermarket 19psi waste gate I put on prior to the install. but when I had it on, there was a whine coming from the engine bay almost like a super charger whine. Could...
Yes the NX2 came with its own waste gate, I’m using that one right now. No codes as of right now. I did get a tune for the NX2 from Ryan martin at EMS tuning. I also have supporting mods such as charge pipes and an upgraded intercooler. Please let me know if you need more information
So I recently installed an NX2 turbo upgrade onto my ecoboost, the issue is when I accelerate boost starts to build to around 15-18psi but then falls back down to 0-2psi while I’m still accelerating. I’ve done a smoke boost leak test and found a small boost leak, I fixed it but still have the...
So I recently got a tune from Ryan martin from EMS tuning for my 2019 Eco-boost mustang. I downloaded the access port manager software and made sure to install the newest software Cobb Tuning has to offer. but when I go to upload the Tuning file to my Access Port it gives me this error. " An...
Yeah e85 is definitely the next upgrade I’m doing if I’m not gonna go down the nx2 route next, I’m not going for any world records here just a track car I can have fun in but that isn’t any slouch either, but nonetheless thanks for the input, cheers !
The end goal is a track car that I can take to the track and to my campus as I’m still in college, for now I’m trying to get to 380-400whp before I stop upgrading the engine and focus on handling and aero.
I should add, the current mods I have are
MBRP race cat back exhaust
Cvfab 3” inch downpipe
Roush cai (closed box)
cvfab charge pipes
Cvfab race intercooler
Turbosmart shortie bov
JLT catchcan
From what I can see it looks like the manifold should wait ? I could go for the drop in nx2 turbo...
so I recently got an intake manifold from EMS for my 2019 Eco boost. and its not originally made for the Eco boost but EMS sells a kit containing an adapter for it, I haven't seen much talk about it let alone intake manifolds for the eco boost but what I'm trying to know is if I wasted my money...
I was wondering if anyone knows how I would go about replacing the center console for a different material or a center console cover that would change how it looks ? ideally like something in the photos below. Thanks in advance !
