  1. Any other V6 owners have major engine failure?

Not a S550, but I had a bottom end failure in my 2012 3.7L at around 38,000. Rod bearing failure, but ford fixed it with no hassle so no hard feelings. With mass produced engines it's bound to happen now and then. I'm just the lucky one! lol Over on AFM one or two other cars had the same...
  2. 3.5L ecoboost turbo's on the 3.7L

Correct me if I'm wrong here, I have little experience with turbos, but this is my understanding of how a turbo system works. Turbo----Intercooler/Piping----Boost Reading-----Intake/Heads-----Combustion Out of curiosity, which would be the coffee stir stick? The boost we see is the back...
  3. Twin Turbo V6 Project

Unless you're somehow running these in series, that's not how it works. In a parallel system each turbo will be running the same PSI, and flow from each will add together to get your total flow. In a sequential turbo system (series), the flow doesn't add but PSI will the way you described...
  4. 58+% Power gain on just 8psi of ProCharger Supercharger Boost....

Rory, that's sad to hear his motor let go. I was hoping see your (old) car with the SC one day if I decide to go procharger. Any more info on it? Did the rod bend/break or was it a rod bearing? If the rod itself let go that is surprising, but I guess you never really know once you start boosting...
  5. 58+% Power gain on just 8psi of ProCharger Supercharger Boost....

I had a rod bearing go with a tune and intake at around 43k. I've always run my car hard, so if there was an issue I'm sure I'd find it. That said I also take very good care of it, change the oil well before the service interval and keep it full of oil. I think it has more to do with factory...
  6. Finally my 2016 GT350 arrived guys wooooo!!!

That looks like Richport. Same place I got my lowly old V6. Gorgeous car. Pretty much exactly what I would order if I could. Enjoy her!
  7. GT350R Mustang Engine/Exhaust Note Sounds

I think the cost of added R components is possibly higher since the R doesn't have a lot of features the base does.
  8. Blue smoke out of exhaust

If anyone is thinking of doing this, make sure your shop vac doesn't pass process air through its motor in anyway. Most don't, but even if it doesn't crazy things can happen with flammable mixtures, please be careful. Oil aerosol makes a nice fire ball when ignited.
  9. Stock Rod Limit

Thanks! Yeah I think I started my post before yours was up, I just took along time to post it. The loss of pumping air out is what I meant with loss due to back pressure, I just wasn't sure if that would be a large amount. So would it be fair to say it has mostly to do with extra losses from...
  10. Stock Rod Limit

I want to preface my post by saying I am looking for insight, not arguing anyone. (This threads gotten a bit hostile at times, I'd rather avoid stirring the pot) I know very little on the subject of turbo cars, so I'm trying to learn as much as possible. Why would the size of the turbo allow...
  11. MAPerformance parts for V6 interest?

They're the same as the 2011-14's. JBA and MAC both have shorty's. I don't think the long tubes will work unless someone makes there own mid pipe.
  12. Ford Reveals New Ford GT - V6 EB Twin Turbcharged - 600 HP

For those who think a V6 is will sound out of place in a car like this... [ame] Sounds great too me. It's not really the same engine, but it's the best ford V6 I've heard. Honestly it doesn't sound that different than my car, that may be why I like it.
  13. Best Police Scanner money can buy?

To add to my last post, the best detector money can buy is not a window mounted unit. It would be the Beltronics STi-R/Escort 9500ci. Both are installed in the car (sensors in the nose, controls inside), have the best range, auto-lockout known false alerts and are not detectable by radar...
  14. Best Police Scanner money can buy?

I'll throw my input in. For all out range, Escort RedLine is on top when setup for your area. The Valentine is a good detector but takes a bit more setup then the Redline and still doesn't have quite the same range, but they're close. Out of the box the Escort Max is hard to beat and is great...
  15. GT350 Spied Testing

That's a good looking stang you have there. I'm not sure ford will ever make a better looking mustang front end. My perfect mustang would be the front fenders forward of a 10-12 and the rest s550. This is my favorite GT350 by far, not a fan of the black fangs on non black cars.
  16. New Shelby at the drag strip or ???

Here's a blown up shot of the full size image. Shows the details better.
  17. New Shelby at the drag strip or ???

The only real sign I see is the one on the left has GT350 wheels and the one in the middle has GT350R wheels. Not saying ford couldn't just change them, but that's the best clue I see. Both appear to have the vent behind the front wheel too, so it's unlikely either is a GT. Also that is, or is...
  18. Sport mode via TC/SC Button

I'm curious about the weight, had this been confirmed? I thought the Eb was the same as the v6 with the added weight of the turbo, intercooler and piping.
  19. Sport mode via TC/SC Button

I assume you're taking about the American muscle video where they ran a 14 v6 vs a 15 I4? If so the I4 was running 87 Oct and the 14 is known to be lighter. Both cars on 93 Oct with both cars being 15s would be a very interesting race. The Eb has been posting low to mid 12's on a tune alone...
  20. Sport mode via TC/SC Button

No reason to put down an entire county because you disagree with someone's points of view. V6 and Turbo 4 Mustang's both have stigmas unfortunately. This is coming from someone who owns a V6 and gets flak from most car enthusiast at first. Stock form I'd take the V6, options and pricing being...
