That does seem a bit excessive. Glad I do my own wrench'n! All I can say is they do one hell of a job on alignments.

Not a chance. This one had more than faint defects. It was printed and ready to be trashed, wrapped, or painted.

Picked up a PP dash. Didn't care for the finish. Going to sand it all down and apply a brushed finish using a wire wheel. Second image is after initial rough sanding with 80 grit.

@JohnVallo I swear I've read a post by you where you were able to order solid carrier shims by the thousandth (.001). After spending more time than I'd like to admit, I can't find the post nor a link/site where one can order such shims. Am I going crazy? Can you help?
