6th only using it for high way cruise. The majority of time I make sure to jump between 3rd gear to 5th or 4th if below 70mph. I like rumble sound @ 3k and 4k rpm
I had my intercooler swapped - Guess what I witnessed, literally the same thing lol, unfortunately the passenger side was worse than the driver side.
I wonder if we could properly spray/coat it so that it can stop? replacing the entire frame is pointless since this could happen again.
brother, I'm a bit puzzled since it's solely the undercarriage and engine bay we're discussing.
Could you provide more details about your concern here? It sucks yes, not pretty to look at but I don't open my hood, durability/longevity is more important to me since I am located in Canada...
Absolutely, it's quite ironic. I've noticed that many members near my motorsport track choose the Ecoboost for their short track motorsport sessions days while the less experienced drivers tend to go for the GT without realizing the Cons/Pros but that is the world we live in I guess
here you go - This is installed on a 2018+ Ecoboost, fitment is the same (except the inlet tube may differ) I have the GT and the GT500 fitment might differ. You can see where the vent hood extractor is located, frankly I prefer the Ford Performance CAI from the tune package but this works great...
I have and could work for mach 1..It's possible, but you might consider replacing the hood insulator where the vent is located. The Mach 1 and Bullitt models have a closed insulator due to the open design of their CAI. Technically, you could modify the insulator to match the one on the left and...
agreed, frankly I played around with mine for a whole year, cover on for 3 months, covered off for another and back.
The car injectors are very loud when cover is not installed, I suspect they either improved or at least had a revision with them with newer models. The sound gets really annoying...
no issues with the D4 variant refresh - Matter of fact, I find it to be legitimately better from the 15-17.
Can't shift quickly but power shift is much feasible.
I suggest Ruthenium HX (DFE version) currently being sold (pre gapped) at Rockauto for like 8$ per plug. These have been fantastic and way better than iridium, as long you have the right version, just make sure you have the DFE tip design.
Ruthenium have been used for 450hp+ application setup...
You'd be surprised, I replaced mine after 55k miles and regret not doing this much earlier - The combustion efficiency can play a key role in how the exhaust gases pulses when exiting the manifold.
It wouldn't hurt to get them replaced, at least you will restore some of the peak power...
