I heard a very similar statement when the Coyote replaced the older Modular motors, as the two have very different exhaust notes. But based off of your statement (and many others here) I'd venture to say people adjusted to the once new note of the coyote just fine. Maybe we wait and see how...
Niche line does not do the lining on the 5.8, nor will it do the lining on the 5.2. This is done at a different location before the block is shipped to Romeo.
I can only speculate here, but if they are using a fpc, they probably want it quiet until they decide time is right to reveal, as its quite a step in a different direction. Even if its just a cpc 5.2, its still a world different from the previous condor family of engines being the top dog...
The 5.8 line has been down for a while in order to change over to the voodoo. The 5.8's production is over, whats left is most likely a calculated amount of engines set aside for remaining production, and there is always a certain amount of motors that must be stored if warranties ever need to...
I have no issues with mine, in Michigan. Its been fairly cold lately. Few days we saw below 0°. I of course am just daily driving, but it has its spirited moments, and i can't complain. And these tires are near the end of their life as well.
I am speaking about the specialty line that assembles the 5.8, the same line that assembled the 5.4 (SVT) in Romeo, MI. Apologies for forgetting to mention that. It is the same plant that builds the 6.2, 4.6, 5.4, and does some (limited) 5.0 assembly.
However the svt (niche) line is a...
They have not been working the niche line for a while, I believe I reported when they shut it down. Now its locked down as well. Before it was just an empty line. Now its unaccessable. The regular niche line workers are either on lay off or working elsewhere. If there is any work being done, its...
I personally hope the EB has a single exit exhaust. Dual exhaust on a single exhaust bank is pointless imo, and just seems fake to me. The V6 I am indifferent about. As long as its not a y pipe.
Hasn't there always been an FRPP supercharger kit? Its not something you consider optional equipment, but its always been available. I think this is being overplayed. It could be a supercharger option. But is that really a suprise?
Maybe its a test mule for the CJ.
