This is very helpful. Should I move the sensor (if that's even a thing)?
Basically the conclusion i've reached, based on feedback from multiple people is:
1) The sensor location being the reason for it showing high IATS
2) The lund tune turning on the fans early and often, causing the engine...
dang. I'm NA too.
All I have is a Roush CAI and roush catback exhaust system. The only thing I changed today was going from stock tune to a Lund 93 octane tune. I might reflash back to stock tommorow and do some testing to see if the tune is maybe causing it?
So after doing some pulls/datalogging today, I noticed that my IAT's would skyrocket after sitting the car for 2-3 minutes (which is expected, but I was kind of suprised to see the IATs around 173 degrees on a 82 degree day). Once the car started moving the temperatures would obviously drop back...
Curious to hear more opinions.
Uniden seems to be the thread favorite. I was also considering an escort detector.
Is there any advantages of uniden over escort, or visa versa?
That's kind of interesting. So you program the computer to eliminate the negatives from getting bad fuel, and at worst, get good fuel?
By similar logic, would it make more sense to go with a 91 pump gas tune on a DD, to eliminate the negatives from getting bad gas on a dedicated 93 tune (which...
Read through this entire thread and it has a lot of great information. I'm kind of on the fence between running a flex tune, or just a dedicated 93 tune (for simplicity and convenience sake).
My main concerns/questions are:
1) Moisture/water buildup, and the resulting damage it could cause
2)...
Appreciate the reply. I ordered it from leveritt ford originally, but I think I'm going to return it, and just go with a custom tune, after hearing your reply
I mean to be fair, I never said the purpose of the FDIC was to gurantee an entire nationss deposits, only that it was created with the intent of promoting bank stability (and 250k insurance per individual per bank is much more assuring than $0 insurance per individual, per bank) which is why...
I mean the whole purpose of the FDIC is to promote banking stability and avert another banking crisis, so from that perspective, them going above the 250k insurance threshold makes sense because if people lose faith in the banking system then everything** topples.
Unfortunately it still doesn't...
Yeah I mean I'm not really trying to go E85 and have to add a fuel system just yet. I'd rather put the money into a blower and just run pump 93 gas, maybe upgrade the headers before or after the blower and obviously add a tune. At this point im moreso just looking for the best hp/$, while again...
So my goals with my car are street-ability, and car longevity (ideally something in the 700-750 rwhp range)
I was originally planning on going with the G3 120MM pulley on 93 pump gas, but I was seeing some reviews that you could still get engine knock on 93 octane with this pulley length if the...
This thread is making me want to go boosted with a 120mm ESS supercharger and some 1 7/8" LT headers and a tune. Does anyone have any sound clips or dyno results?
