I did take it to ford but they kept trying to tell me it was my clutch. Garnet ford in PA to be exact. I couldn’t believe their master tech was 100% telling me it was my clutch. That’s why I just did it all myself

Seems like we’re the only active people currently trying to rebuild our d4 s. Lol

I attached a video of my input shaft play. At idle it sounded like a rod knock. 4K rpm in 4th gear massive vibration which my knock sensors would pick up thinking it was a random miss fire.

Didn’t take it to dealer. Just end up getting one myself because I wanted to keep the old to rebuild over the winter.

Mine is smooth as butter engine on and off. Also forgot to add I have the steeda clutch spring upgrade aswell.

Will be rebuilding my spare mt82 over the winter so looking at options. Does anyone know if there is a sequential shifter available for the mt82s?

Are you upgrading internals aswell? Saw you already had the AMP shift forks for the d4. Were any of the other mt82 parts interchangeable with the d4? I just replaced my d4 due to faulty input shaft bearing so I’m gonna be rebuilding my old one over the winter. Can you possibly post all parts...

I have the rxt and below 1800-2000k they hate cruising at that rpm. Even from stop rev up a bit more. Almost to 2k from stop. The gearing along with lightweight flywheel and upgraded will cause it to chatter at low rpm.
