It started out as a new body in white and was seam welded and caged by Watson Racing. Then received most of its salvageable core parts from a GT350R donor and progressed from there. FP350S would be its closest cousin. For "non race car crew" as you phrased it..FP350s is a GT350 based Race car...
They're awesome cars and collectable for sure! I bought mine new, tracked it for 7 years and sold it for $7K less than I paid for it with mods installed. At the end of the day it's a car to be enjoyed IMHO. I bought the R to track and enjoy it. It's not going to be worth much if I'm...
For how I personally used my R I gained a lot.
I love the s550 Platform especially the GT350. So, a chance to get a seam welded and cage NASA ST2/TT2 vetted car for me was the right move. 5.2L cross plane engine has proven to be more reliable. AP racing front and rear brakes lighter with...
Hi all, Ive been pretty active tracking my '17 GT350R since 2019. I ignored all the GT350 engine stories and enjoyed my car on track for 7 years. My maintenance regiment was, oil change, brake bleed prior to every track weekend with complete replacement of transmission, diff and brake fluid...

Kohr GT4 Splitter and Dive Planes. No plans on adding right away...I want wait till my progress tapers off Laptime wise. I couldn't pass up.....great deal!
This happened to me at Charlotte Roval last year. Disconnect the battery and reconnect, then drive the car around normally for about 3-5 miles....the lights should start to disappear. I thought the weekend was over and a track buddy had the same problem at Daytona...saved the weekend for me...
I have the same issue at Charlotte Roval. I just make sure Im at 3/4 or more before each session. Bringing fuel jugs and adding after each session makes it a little easier to deal with in my opinion and is a must if there is no on site fuel available.
Oak tree depending on the car may be better in 3rd. its so up hill its easy to over slow. 3rd helps me keep momentum up. I'm getting a little better at it every visit.
