I was able to unclip them. I left one unclipped for a couple days and no problems. I think it a sensor for the seatbelts. I did not try to sit in the rear and buckle the seat though as I'm not three feet tall. There is s small release on the opposite side of the plug from the red and black wires.

Are you having any trouble getting the rear two panels to slide between the rear of the convertible top and the rear of the vehicle? I purchased one and have been messing with a week. I'm afraid to spend the money on having it painted Rapid Red because I don't think the paint will hold up with...
