The front splitter is dealer installed and in Connecticut most dealers leave it off so that you can drive the car on the street. We have crappy roads here. 🤨
Congrats on finally getting your car! I have a '21 and it took forever to get too: I ordered it in January '21 and it arrived at the dealer in October '21 but it was worth the wait. Mine is in my garage next to my '71 Mach 1 right now Completely different cars but still the same in many ways.
I...
Well you're either going to the grocery store or running on the track so...
In the old days we replaced the thermostat with a restrictor. Lets more coolant flow than the thermostat but not as much as if you simply remove it.
Amazing. Leave it to Ford to find a way to make new aluminum panels look just like old steel panels on a Rustang.
OK, I know this all sucks but if you guys want to feel better I'll post some pic's of my '71 Mach 1. You wanna see corrosion and paint problems...
Remember: It's made in America. Noises and loose things are part of its "charm." I'm actually worried that mine isn't leaking any oil. It's acting almost like my 2012 Harley! My God, what's happening??? 😀
Yeah I'm going to confirm that the sub. is actually working before I do anything else. I've only had the trunk open once.
It's hard to believe you can get much bass out of a single 10" speaker. Then again a car is a pretty small space to fill. I like tight punchy bass too. Not sloppy mud...
Unless you're bouncing it off the rev. limiter all the time or running on a track it's not super critical. As long as it's between the marks you should be OK. Don't stress over it. It's made in America. 😀
It's a good idea to fill the filter with oil.
I just started driving my new Mach 1 - haven't even checked the oil yet but... I bet the dip-stick has laser-etched marks on it like many new cars do. Really hard to see once it's covered with oil. My '14 Dodge Durango (my daily driver) suffered...
Yeah it's frustrating. I was watching eBay throughout my waiting period and I saw the same thing. I know in the beginning the cars that were ordered with the Handling Package were delayed (and of course mine has that option) but then they started finding their way onto eBay so I knew at least...
I find it a bit odd that you guys are saying the B&O sound system has too much bass output. I didn't set up an RTA in my car but I actually have the bass cranked up a bit past center and I still don't feel it. Maybe I was expecting more and maybe it's because I play bass in a rock band through...
It's possible that something that you ordered is holding it up and other cars are being built ahead of it. Things that might cause this to happen: the Handling Package, the Premium sound system option, a special paint color, etc.
I mentioned this in another thread but I think it's worth bringing it up here as well. I ordered my '21 Mach 1 in January 2021. I was told it would be delivered in April. Then the supply chain crisis started happening in a BIG way. I called my dealer a few times to check on my order and the only...
Well yeah. This is "progress." FYI even tires for a "normal" car are expensive. My daily driver is either a 2014 Dodge Durango or a 2000 Mercedes SLK230. I just put a new set of tires on my Durango before Winter. I bought Michelins because they're OE so I paid a little more than if I bought...
Yes exactly. I'm sure there are better setups for the track but for people who drive on the street most of the time, the HP is more than adequate. I'm in the process of setting up a second set of HP rims with the more street friendly PS4S tires for my car that came with the HP and Sport cup...
So this is all true and I agree with you completely however: I bought mine with the HP for a slightly different reason. I'm a big fan of the 60's and 70's muscle cars. I have a '71 Mach which I bought used and abused. I'm restoring it now. I always wondered what the guy who bought it new was...
