I'm not even sure what gear ratio my car has. I will check on that though. The last video I uploaded when you said it was definitely bogging was when the car still started off in 2nd gear. I guess I will save for a torque converter now. Thanks for all the help guys!
I guess I've never paid that much attention. Now that you mention it I did not try stalling out after I tuned the car to take first gear again. I know I had a few runs where I had to let of because of wheel spin but looking at some of the videos from those runs it sounds like it might have been...
The interesting thing is I get the best times when I don't stall out at all. I just take the foot off the brakes and punch the gas. You think a torque converter would change that on a supercharged engine?
Update. Tuned the car to take 1st gear again. Made a big difference. Ordered some IRS braces. What would be a good shock to order while still keeping it smooth for daily driving?
That is what I was thinking as well. I talked to my tuner and that is what we are going to do next. With 1,004 whp 2nd gear starts were fine but now that I took it off of E85 and dropped the boost I guess it needs 1st gear.
I am running skinny front tires with a 305 drag radial in the rear.
Thanks for the advice on the suspension.
The DA was at 5,000 feet. (That is actually very good in my area of Texas)
My car is also tuned to always start off in 2nd gear. I don't know if that is hurting me or not.
So I ran a 10.97 @ 131.77 with a 1.80 60' with 732 RWHP from a whipple 3.0 on 93 octane with a stock 10R80 and stock suspension. With my HP numbers I think I should be getting a better time. What should be my next mod? Torque converter or suspension upgrades?
Selling my 2019 Ford Mustang GT Premium Coupe with only 9,800 miles. I have a clean, clear title in hand. The car has a Whipple stage 2 supercharger kit and a complete fuel system set up for E85 as well as pump gas. Stainless works long tube headers and complete stainless steel exhaust. The car...
