Good for you, man!
I found Fridays to be most enjoyable to drive around. I take a day off sometimes just to enjoy roads without traffic. 9, 35, 130… pretty much all staple roads in the Bay Area. Don't tell anybody, lol :)
Apparently, that's also a time to meet some nice cars around, not your...
I was driving at around 7:45am-8:00am, I've passed a few, but not too bad. I think most of them were at the lower slopes (before Grant Lake)… and the oncoming traffic was super-light, so passing wasn't a problem.
Long story short: replaced 2 (front left, rear right) out of 4 shocks by warranty, both were accepted by Koni. I've enjoyed about two weeks of silent work of suspension, until front-right started to knock and then soon after that rattle. I decided to stop throwing good money after bad and paid...
I bought Konis and installed them a few weeks back. I'm figuring out the setting yet. Tried out full soft and it's too soft :) Very close to stock GT shocks in that regard in my opinion. Tried 5 x 1/4 turns and it's nice in terms of control, but a bit too harsh for daily driving on my local...
Yeeeah. I've got a wrong manual (workshop manual). Now I got the right manual (supplementary workshop manual revision 10/1/15), but section 204-00 Camber adjustment doesn't tell anything about slots in the struts. Which is fine, you and @Dana Pants both drive 2018… maybe it's in the manual for...
I found "Ford Mustang Shop Manual 2015-2017" as a pdf, but I can't find that diagram. Specifically I was searching for "burr" and it found 7 results, all of them in engine/engine cooling sections. Do you mind sharing a hint where to find the right manual?
Thanks :) I clearly misunderstood advice about "camber mod" :) Where did you get the pictures from? Just want to check out the source to learn more.
I guess that's an example of situation which made me hesitant in choosing adjustable shocks. Meaning, there's a chance to make it perform worse...
Thanks for the answers.
If you know what you're doing then adjustable for sure better than non-adjustable… I'm not so confident that I do :D
Also, my assumption was that adjustable are more expensive… but after checking out prices for Bilstein B6 and yellow Koni, the difference is less than...
Hi folks
I'm a new (a couple of months) owner of non-PP '16 GT. The car is a daily driver and a weekend warrior in one. Suspension feels a bit soft to me. Specifically on roads which have a bit of vertical profile, the car takes too much time to regain composure. I want to make car less...
