  1. Joining the club of the BBQ/Typewriter tick

Thank you all!! I hate being a perfectionist... that tick was driving me insane. It seems to be quieting down but I'm most than positive that I will throw 75-100ml of Ceratec. I was just watching this ridiculous video and gave me cringe to think that my Mustang sounds like that piece of crap...
  2. Joining the club of the BBQ/Typewriter tick

Im not willing to get over it. Getting over things just because the manufacturer tells you it’s “normal” doesn’t mean it is. Just imagine if for every defect on a certain item the manufacturer tells you it’s normal and you have to “get over it”. It will reach a point were you will be buying a...
  3. Joining the club of the BBQ/Typewriter tick

I've read about the Ceratec and the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w30. Some people claims it fixes it (or at least it calms it down). Not sure what the repercussions can be if something happens with the engine and Ford find out I used Ceratec.
  4. Joining the club of the BBQ/Typewriter tick

I hate to be posting this but here I am. 2021 Mustang GT PP. Tick started day after second oil change. -Bought brand new with 20 miles from the dealership. -First oil change done at 3500 miles. Oil used was Motorcraft 5W-20 FS. -Second oil change done at 8800 miles. Oil used was Motorcraft...
  5. Anyone else really struggle with glass?

Best product I’ve tried is Tugalin. Makes cleaning windows efortless, specially if paired with a waffle towel https://www.carpro-us.com/amp/glass/tuga-tugalin-glass-cleaner-1l-34-oz/
  6. What has been done to your mustang when you serviced it? + Premium Maintenance question.

Hi Folks, I've owned an EcoBoost before my 2021 GT and I have not done anything else to it other than oil changes. (Sold @ 18k miles - 3 services done). Not sure if the GT is different and that is why I want to ask about your maintenance experience. I'm thinking on changing the oil every ~7500...
  7. Should I get active exhaust?

I have it and I love it, there is a big difference when you switch your exhaust from Normal to Track. Never used it on quiet tho :party::party:
  8. I love the mustang…but…

Second Mustang owner and yes, both had poor fittings (exterior and interior). Luckily no rattle inside but some of the plastics on the door / beneath the door do not fit properly.... not to talk about panel alignment... jeeez. BUT, I have to say it is a beautiful car (to me, it's the better...
  9. S550 Panel gaps (Doors). Need advice.

Yep, I stopped at a dealership to check a few mustangs (of course, they had only one lol) and it had the same issue but worst. Guess I’ll be one of the few mustangs with symmetrical door gaps lol
  10. S550 Panel gaps (Doors). Need advice.

@TrackMustang The fact that the gap is completely even from top to bottom blew my mind (fixed door). I took the time to re-measure (this time using cm, not inches) and it came out to about a 5mm gap. I think I'll take it back to the place that fixed it to do the other door too. It looks like...
  11. i can’t be the only one who runs regular in a GT right?

Nothing wrong with that… I would not even spend 15 minutes waiting in line to get .50c off a gallon, my time is worth much more than 5 bucks. But I get it, we are all different and everyone’s financial situation is different too. Would I buy a 55K performance vehicle and put the cheapest gas or...
  12. i can’t be the only one who runs regular in a GT right?

I always use 91 (highest octane rate here in California) on my GT. I did the same with my EcoBoost. Typically, the difference between grades is 10 cents / gallon. With a little bit of math: Filling a 14.5 gallon tank with: *87: 4.70*14.5 = $68.15 *89: 4.80*14.5 = $ 69.60 *91: 4.90*14.5 = $71.05...
  13. Age of mustang owners?

Got my first mustang at 30, and my second one at 32. I've always loved mustangs, and as someone who grew up outside the US, it was literally a "dream car" for me. Don't let anyone tell you dreams don't come true.
  14. S550 Panel gaps (Doors). Need advice.

Hi folks, I never paid enough attention to this details, but two weeks ago I took my car to a body shop to repaint a rock chip and they mentioned that my car's door was not aligned properly. They offered to calibrate it for free so I told them to go ahead and get it aligned. Since I was...
  15. Introduce yourself!!

Ty. Close to the Pasadena area.
  16. Introduce yourself!!

Hello from Southern California. I'm new in this forum and I already found out it is a great place. I got a TON of help on my first post. Really amazing people here, willing to share knowledge and experiences. So, second mustang owner. I had a 2017 Mustang Ecoboost Premium with Performance Pack...
  17. Brake issue with brand new 2021 GT PP + Advice

Thanks for your reply. Yes, seems like the consensus here is that is not that bad. Besides that, like you mentioned, the dealership resolved the issue according to the TSB. Good point about the front breaking.. I guess that is the reason why this car has those massive Brembo calipers and rotors...
  18. Brake issue with brand new 2021 GT PP + Advice

Yeah, I would. This was an eye opener for me... I could not believe I was driving with two break pads almost destroyed and the car was running just fine. And it was breaking amazingly well still. I attest this because I was driving (a bit hard) on a Canyon here in California a few days before...
  19. Brake issue with brand new 2021 GT PP + Advice

Yes, lots of brake dust. What makes it worse are the wheels… what a pain to keep them clean jeeez
  20. Brake issue with brand new 2021 GT PP + Advice

Yes, PP with Brembos. It was a defective rear brake pad that caused the issue. According to the dealership they basically “cleaned” the rotor. They only removed the scratches caused by this incident. I have to agree with you, my position was the same: I don’t have to deal with this BS on a brand...
