I have\had the exact same thing happen when I picked up my 2022 GT auto last July. It still does it today, they have never been able to fix it. I notice it at 45 to 50 mph with very light throttle reapplication, no check engine lights though. It can be a very rough stumble, it's consistent and...
Thanks for all the comments and feedback.
FYI - Looks like this guy did exactly what I was asking about as well. From watching this and some of his other videos he has not had any issues either.
In the spring I plan on removing the charcoal filter, filter retainer and the sound tube mesh, I...
Let me clarify.
I'm looking for feedback from someone who has removed the charcoal filer AND plastic grid inside tube and then reinstalled the 22 intake back on the car without any other modifications or tune.
Were there any drive-ability issues, codes or was it a positive experience?
thanks.
Hello everyone,
As most of you probably know the 2022 intake seems to be much more restrictive then the 2021s and earlier.
As such, I am planning on removing the charcoal filter and the filter holder along with the plastic grid in the intake tube, then drop in a K&N to replace the stock air...
I thought so too, not impossible but not likely either. I did ask the service rep what condition the plugs were in (fowled or improperly gapped) and he didn't ask/know and service tech was gone for the day.
I have a 2022 gt auto PP1 and I am experiencing a misfire at 1,250 rpms that is very noticeable at around 70 km/h (42 mph). I took delivery in July and it has 6,600 KMs (4k miles), completely stock. Waiting for Ford performance to release a tune/CAI for the 22s.
Issue: Basically coast down to...
I have a 2022 gt auto PP1 and am experiencing a misfire at 1,250 rpms that is very noticeable at around 70 km/h (42 mph). Basically coast down to 70 km/h then reapply very light throttle and feel the shudder. I have also gotten the occasional "car is in sleep mode" when it shouldn't be. They...
I read somewhere on the forums that the Ford performance tune/calibration (with throttle body and CIA) is not compatible with the 2022 GTs. We shall see, my 2022 goes in next Tueday to the ford dealer for the install.
July 22, 2022 update. Car arrived last week and was fixed (recall to replace valve pans and gaskets). Paint was perfect even after sitting in railyard for more then four months. My 2021 price with ford incentives at the time were all honored as promised. Good luck everyone!!!
Wow... after messaging with you regarding our shared ordering woes... I saw your pics in this thread and realized that we have the same car.... color and pp1, lol
I'm still in same boat as well, mine has been sitting in a railyard for four months too. Google "rail yard dust and auto paint"... LOL. Ford Canada and the regional rep have been of zero help, the regional rep ignored my follow up emails from day one. The dealer was finally able to provide...
A few of you made a suggestion that the dealer might have sold my car to someone else. This is NOT the case, as I have seen my car sitting in the railway yard. I have a very high probability that the car I saw was mine since it was correct color (rapid red), was a PP1 and had the wing delete...
Normally I would but I have no practical alternatives. I want what I ordered, so I wait.
I dont want to pay more for something, that best case secenrio, would be a compromise.
I have been waiting since April 2021... good luck.
I just posted the details on my wonderful mustang ordering experience, post title is "Ordering Nightmare".
April 2021: Ordered a 2021 Mustang GT PP1 (from my canadian dealer's allocated stock) delivery ETA July/August 2021
July 2021: My order was cancelled by Ford Canada, I was not informed.
August 2021: I contacted the dealer for a delivery update and was told that my order was cancelled in July...
