  1. Unfortunate Tuesday with my Mach 1 - engine oil mess (not as bad as BP)

He and his wife assumed it was him, yet he lied to the hotel staff demanding to see video freaking them out. Then he comes on here to make an “interesting” post..his words not mine..and omits information telling people here he has no idea “what the fuck happened” and you’re defending him? If...
  2. Unfortunate Tuesday with my Mach 1 - engine oil mess (not as bad as BP)

Lmao all I have heard since I could remember was emergency situations, trauma stories are table talk in my family. My wife was an emergency room nurse and in the icu currently, my grandfather is a retired sheriff, my mom was a triage nurse for 20 years and it’s sad to see a man with 30 years of...
  3. Unfortunate Tuesday with my Mach 1 - engine oil mess (not as bad as BP)

I’ve used this forum to read interesting stuff and buy things for a year and never commented. But when I read your post and saw your pictures, I knew you were lying. Normally I wouldn’t care, but calling 911 for this is just wrong. Living in a major metropolitan area magnifies this, as more...
  4. Unfortunate Tuesday with my Mach 1 - engine oil mess (not as bad as BP)

Believe it or not you are helping! 1-assume accountability when you see oil on a curb when you know you cant drive the car well. 2- tell the truth to the hotel staff 3- face the consequences 4-don’t call 911 unless it is a real emergency. When it doubt, find a non emergency number to call.
  5. Unfortunate Tuesday with my Mach 1 - engine oil mess (not as bad as BP)

I would risk losing my own job over calling 911 for that. They lied to you to save themselves a headache. It was their responsibility to clean it up and then bill you for it. I have a family full of first responders and none would agree this is a 911 call in the slightest. But you also didint...
  6. Unfortunate Tuesday with my Mach 1 - engine oil mess (not as bad as BP)

And I’d wager that most if not all have a phone capable of looking up a non emergency number. He could ask the staff at where he’s staying at. I can’t believe you’re really trying to defend this but I guess that’s why this post is so important. Under no circumstance do you call 911 for an oil...
  7. Unfortunate Tuesday with my Mach 1 - engine oil mess (not as bad as BP)

Exactly! Calling the sheriff is reasonable, but it is not the same as calling 911. You can get a misdemeanor for wrongfully calling 911. It’s not a joke and firefighters are not your maids that would called by the sheriff to clean up after you. You see them at accident sites doing it….because...
  8. Unfortunate Tuesday with my Mach 1 - engine oil mess (not as bad as BP)

Firefighters spending 6 hours cleaning up a small oil spill after a guy that can’t drive is less of a waste than funding a specialized hazmat department to free them up for real emergencies? Wow We need to declare martial law because there are little oil puddles all over parking structures all...
  9. Unfortunate Tuesday with my Mach 1 - engine oil mess (not as bad as BP)

It took me 2 minutes on my cellphone to find the Vancouver 24/7 spill hotline and I live in Los Angeles.
  10. Unfortunate Tuesday with my Mach 1 - engine oil mess (not as bad as BP)

Call Emergency Management BC 1.800.663.3456 (24/7) If any spill enters the storm drain, ditch or goes onto a public road, the phone numbers noted below are secondary local contacts (where applicable). Would you look at that, there is a hotline where you can report spills so that you don't have...
  11. Unfortunate Tuesday with my Mach 1 - engine oil mess (not as bad as BP)

Agreed. That fireman’s face is not a “don’t take a picture of me” look, it’s a “I can’t believe I’m here doing this right now because of you” look. The responsible thing to do…if you really can’t get your hands dirty…was to call a non emergency number. Not trying to be a jerk, but it really is...
  12. Unfortunate Tuesday with my Mach 1 - engine oil mess (not as bad as BP)

I’ll take a stab at it. Looks like this guy struggles driving a sports car (by his own words) and ran over the curb and busted something loose claims he has no idea, but he knows…”It's very possible but as I think about it, turning the car is one of my fears with this M1.” Yeah, he turned his...
