  1. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

Thanks Richard, Yes my intent is to get one fully loaded, incl Recaros.
  2. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

Just to follow up on closure with this. My wife took an extended test drive in one last week and thought she felt she could grow to enjoy it, she didn't 'Love it' and was a bit concerned with how she would do with the increased blind spots a coupe design car has. With that in mind I have decided...

Thank you :) I'm excited and agree that once I get a Bullitt, I will probably not drive her EB much ;)
  4. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

I'm sure that is the case. However this is a car primarily for the wife and she doesn't need nor want the power of the GT. Me? Sure, but her current 250hp Escape is more than enough for her. Yes we've driven one, and it is fast enough for her desires.

Thanks, but the wife wants orange, plus post 2018 they have the 10 speed auto.
  6. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

You know, you're right. I had never seen one of those, until about 2 days after you posted that and then I saw one! Sheesh they are ugly but congrats to you for mking it work with twins! Thank you sir, I was THIS close to getting a Bullitt this yr, stupid COVID. I'm in a great position to put...
  7. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

We are being picky too, hence the custom order idea and it is cheaper than buying a new one off a lot at present.
  8. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

Because the wife wants an Ecoboost. Plus when I get a Bullitt, we will have the best of both.
  9. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

Hi Kevin, thanks for your post. Your girl is a cutie! Yep that was our thinking. Respectfully, it's easy for people who have a Mustang sitting in their garage to say 'wait' but when you've waited 3+ years at some point you have to pull the trigger and enjoy life. In reality no one knows when...
  10. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

Yup, Sadly I wasn't in a position to buy back then.
  11. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

Yup, this is my concern with a Bullitt. I appreciate people saying wait, but I've already waited 3 years.
  12. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

I totally agree, the issue is I've been saving and waiting for 3 yrs, and it's highly unlikely they will come down until late 2022 from what I'm told. Waiting and saving is fine but where do you draw the line? At some point I want a Mustang and am in this situation because I waited instead of...
  13. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

Thanks all for the replies. However just to clarify, I'm not looking at an Ecoboost as an alternative to a Bullitt. As I said before, we intend to get both but the plan was for me to get a used Bullitt before my wife then got an Ecoboost. Instead, I am now considering getting the Ecoboost first...
  14. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

Intention is to keep both cars long term.
  15. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

Yeah we are already fwd facing thankfully. The dealer we got our wifes Escape from has offered to loan us a GT to bring to the house and try our seat so I may take them up on it. Pre COVID they were as low as $37k, they would have been $35-$37k now had it not been for the surge in used prices...
  16. Bullitt dreams slashed for now, considering an Ecoboost.

Hi All, Long time lurker, first time poster. Have wanted a Bullitt since they came out and finally had a decent deposit saved up this yr only for prices to skyrocket. Faced with the inevitability that it will probably be 2 yrs+ before prices come back to an affordable level (I set $35k as my...
  17. Introduce yourself!!

Hi All, Long time lurker, newly registered. I had been looking to buy an S550 Bullitt this summer but with the used car price spike I have decided to wait for them to drop back to sensible values. In the mean time I'm considering buying an Ecoboost as my wife wanted one after I got my Bullitt...
  18. Introduce yourself!!

Hi John! I live in Columbus, I want an S550 Bullitt but the used car hike has pushed them out of reach, so for now I'm looking for an Ecoboost that my wife wanted after I got the Bullitt anyway. Hopefully see yours around. What options does it have?
