I did it myself twice, no issues. the biggest tip I would say is to remove the center carrier bearing, you can drop the transmission/drive line A LOT more if you do that, to the point that you will have ample room for all your nuts/bolts.
Getting the boot around the base of the shifter is...
I got the tick on my first oil change, as that's when it comes up for the first time for most people. I did the ol' certec and now nonexistent. It does work.
also have to remember that with the Performance Package, you get the 3.73 gears, so you cant really compare to a base GT with 3.55. Your gearing is set up to inherently give you worse MPG
I have a Mach 1 with HP and was looking to run 285/35/19 in front and 295/35/19 rear both to combat the tramlining but also cost on tires. My issue is that the selection so so small at that size tires. Might just copy your set up if it cuts down on freeway tram lining
Thank god the car isnt turbocharged/Ecoboost or he would have blown it up. LSPI (Low Speed Pre Ignition) is a death sentence for turbo cars. Pretty funny to come to a thread about lugging in a manual.
Cant answer you question, but what I can say is remove the driveshaft from the center carrier bearing, it will allow you to drop the trans far enough that you can access the pain in the ass bolt that threads through the transmission shaft that the shifter attaches to.
I have a unmarried Cobb access port I'm willing to part. I'm located in S. California, so I assume I would have to ship it. LMK if your interested, I took it off my focus ST in working order.
I am a potential buyer. I emailed Borla to ensure if the above exhaust fits on a Mach 1, seeing as the title states its for a GT. I should receive a response ideally next business day, Monday 4/8/2024
Looking to sell my used with 9k miles on it MGW Short Throw Shifter. Its the X-Spec standard profile for a 21% throw reduction. No missing components, in working condition. MSRP is $500, looking to sell at $375 + $20 S&H (fits in a USPS Flat Rate Medium box).
Hello folks, I have a stock Mach 1 with active exhaust, and am not a fan of the sound. I have a 2018+ AWE Touring exhaust that is for a GT without active exhaust and and looking to swap it onto my 2018+ Mach 1 with active exhaust.. I understand that the Mach 1's have a "revised intake...
could anyone chime in on why knifeless tape placed around the vinyl emblem's outer edges isn't the easy way to bulk install a single PPF sheet over the whole hood? I have 3m bulk PPF was going to try the Knifeless tape with a single sheet, but I feel like I am missing something.
Granted my car only had 12k miles before it met its unfortunate end, and of the 12k miles, 11k were with the MGW shifter, but I loved the feel of the MT82 (even in its stock form, its not the worst shifter). If I do end up snagging this Mach 1, I wonder if I will feel in a difference in its...
