  1. GT350 Gauge Cluster Thread

Bumping this old thread to see if you ever found a solution to this, as I've been considering doing the same swap
  2. No sound coming from 6.5" door speakers (base 6-speaker stereo)

That's actually pretty reassuring. Replacement is easy enough. So what speakers would you guys recommend getting to replace them? I've heard good things about Infinity, but honestly car audio is not a big hobby so I'm not up on what's available and good. Price range I'd like to keep under $150...
  3. No sound coming from 6.5" door speakers (base 6-speaker stereo)

Over two years after getting the car and just putting up with the very tinny sounding stereo, I decided to try futzing with the equalizer settings to see if I could make it sound a little better. Upon turning the fade all the way to front speaker bias, I realized that the only front speakers...
  4. Tremec 3160 swap?

If you think you'll save a bunch of money on a 3160 swap over the Magnum XL, go right ahead
  5. Lugs Lugs Lugs!!!

When you have to street park your car every night, you sing a different tune lol
  6. Lugs Lugs Lugs!!!

They are open ended, but plastic caps are available in black or red, maybe other colors too. These lugs are made in Japan, FYI
  7. Tremec 3160 swap?

What you really want is a Magnum XL swap. Should run about $6-7k in parts, probably another 2k to have it all installed by a reputable shop. https://www.jpcracing.com/jpc-2018-2021-mustang-gt-tremec-magnum-xl-complete-conversion-kit/
  8. Lugs Lugs Lugs!!!

I run Project KICS Monolith T1/07 lugs on my car, both with the OEM PP1 wheels and with Apex EC-7s. Some pics comparing them to the OEM lugs and some crappy Dorman skinny ones that the previous owner replaced some of the OEMs with. Sorry for the super dirty wheel.
  9. All season tires

I've been giving this issue some thought as well, because my car lives in an unheated garage for the winter. To keep the car accessible if I need to drive it when it's cold out, I'll be getting the PIlot Sport AS4s so that those can stay on the car from november till march, and I'll keep the...
  10. A New Ford GT?

This is my guess. The OHV 7.3 or 6.8 derivative, either one with an aluminum block, should fit in the same space as a 3.5 Ecoboost. Much more compact dimensionally than the Coyote and its variants.
  11. 2018 Mustang GT Long Term Fuel Trim

Dealers like everyone else are short staffed and they just don't have the manpower to take care of everyone. Is it right? No. But that's just the way it is right now.
  12. Two unplugged harnesses under my 2018 GT

This car doesn't have active exhaust that I know of. The previous owner put a Flowmaster cat back system on it. I looked all over the place for any hanging harnesses or wires near the mufflers and tailpipes but didn't see anything. There are also no menu settings for active exhaust.
  13. Two unplugged harnesses under my 2018 GT

Thanks so much! But then why would the car be throwing codes for the active exhaust that it doesn't have? P26C5-00 P2BF5-00 P2BF8-00 P2BFD-00
  14. Two unplugged harnesses under my 2018 GT

Can anyone tell me what these go to? There is one on each side of the car, behind the front wheels as shown. I'm guessing they are harnesses to the active exhaust system that my car doesn't have, because my obd2 reader also comes up with a bunch of exhaust valve faults. But I wanted to run it...
  15. What are you coming from and where are you going?

I'll play. I went from a 2000 Volvo S70 with 330,000 miles that I bought for $700, to a 2018 Mustang GT. I still have the Volvo for winter duty. The wheels on this car are the same diameter as the brake rotors on the front of the Stang! There is no real comparison between the two, other than...
  16. GT Ride Comfort

Bingo. Taller the sidewall, the better. Not just for your spine but also for the car when going over broken, cratered pavement. Better rim protection too.
  17. Got my first ever 'muffler' ticket haha

Just because someone is trained to do something, doesn't mean they can reliably do it. All eyewitness testimony is hilariously unreliable, whether it's from a layperson or a law enforcement officer. That won't stop the judge from taking the cop's word over yours though.
  18. Decline of Sports Cars?

There is no single root cause. Lots of compounding causes: The 1950s, 60s and early 70s were an anomalous golden age for the United States because we were the only fully industrialized nation to escape World War II with a completely intact infrastructure, and thus we were the commercial center...
  19. Lug nut torque at the track

Is there any sort of anti seize or lubricant on the threads?
