For config 3, how do you remove the plastic underneath the hood, the drip tray if you will in order to just have the mesh plastic left above the hood? Do you need to remove any screws or just pull? Thanks!

Good info. I suppose the whole point of Blue 242 or new treated bolts is to keep the nut from getting loose and losing it's torque value, assuming I understand this correctly.

I bet! Just debating now between Blue 242 or new nuts. Might eventually do the "sound tube" delete so I know I'll be in there again, haha.

Hmmm, your right about not having any real difference, but for peace of mind I might just stop by a Ford dealer and pick some new ones up. Can't be much.
