Some of this is just to capture the new market, right? There is a large customer base that won’t buy a used car and just wants whatever is new, then educates themselves on the mods afterwards.
I don’t see why they would market a new kit at all without incremental improvements in its numbers...
The markups can be brutal. I went with an Integra over an Si because it was discounted slightly to MSRP, whereas every Si had a $4-5k markup. So really really have to shop around. I assume the Type S won’t be marked up forever, honestly
I DD an A-spec Integra. For what it is it’s a great little car, none of the Camry/Accord/Altima range offers a manual anymore. It’s not fast, not winning races, but 45 highway mpg on my commute is well worth leaving the Mustang in the garage most days.
Just seems a weird comparison here by the...
You don’t want both sports cars to be “all about you”. I could see negative consequences down the road. She might be fine with it now or even for a few years until missing the Supra or something that feels like “hers”.
My wife used to have a Highlander but wanted to add a Tesla. Our compromise...
Glad you got it. I’m glad Ford is willing to install some of these features on a 6-MT, most manufacturers just skip. But of all the systems I’ve tried, Ford’s seems to be the worst and the clunkiest. No correction until you leave the lane. I DD a manual Integra and it’s much better at keeping...
So I have a magnetic metal 2020 GT and have some buyers remorse about not getting the Grabber Lime. I looked at (and liked one) near my house but at the time of purchase it came out to almost $10k more than getting a gray one from a major interstate dealer.
Has anyone repainted their car? Any...
The instrument panel is also a downer for me in the Mach-E. No gauges?? My wife has an EQS and it has least had digital needles available as a setting:
But this is the best the Mach E can do?
This. I did exactly this. Traded down from a 2005 GT to a 1999 Corolla which I then put 300k on. Get your cost of ownership down as low as possible. Best mpg and a little bit of fun is a base economy car with a 6 speed. If you’re going to downgrade, to me, the only fun is in the total savings.
Eh. I tried and couldn't handle the power.
Realistically, the XX-pipe arrived a little warped and didn't sit perfectly flat on the ground. Install was a little longer than expected. But there was an awful high-pitched highway drone that no combination of resonators or mufflers could take away...
2020 GT, 6 MT with 3.55’s
I can average up to 27.7 in the summer. Fall/winter temps have dropped it down to 27.3. Most cars I can get 4-5 mpg above the highway number as my average but light suburban use drops it like a rock.
Interestingly using 87 I can only get ~25.5 best case. Picked up...
I would like to do a custom tune, eventually. But being able to get it installed without a dyno session and have it “good enough” is what’s so tempting
I had one and sold it. It sounded slightly higher pitched than a single x. Equally loud. But I only have a resonator catback and it was too loud, with some ear piercing frequencies I couldn’t tone out
If you already have an aftermarket X pipe I WOULD NOT spend money on this. It’s not going to...
