  1. So the new gen7 whipple numbers are out........

Some of this is just to capture the new market, right? There is a large customer base that won’t buy a used car and just wants whatever is new, then educates themselves on the mods afterwards. I don’t see why they would market a new kit at all without incremental improvements in its numbers...
  2. Interesting read on dark horse

The markups can be brutal. I went with an Integra over an Si because it was discounted slightly to MSRP, whereas every Si had a $4-5k markup. So really really have to shop around. I assume the Type S won’t be marked up forever, honestly
  3. Interesting read on dark horse

I DD an A-spec Integra. For what it is it’s a great little car, none of the Camry/Accord/Altima range offers a manual anymore. It’s not fast, not winning races, but 45 highway mpg on my commute is well worth leaving the Mustang in the garage most days. Just seems a weird comparison here by the...
  4. Planting the seed to trade our '22 Supra 3.0 for a GT500

You don’t want both sports cars to be “all about you”. I could see negative consequences down the road. She might be fine with it now or even for a few years until missing the Supra or something that feels like “hers”. My wife used to have a Highlander but wanted to add a Tesla. Our compromise...
  5. How do I turn off the lane symbol s550???

Glad you got it. I’m glad Ford is willing to install some of these features on a 6-MT, most manufacturers just skip. But of all the systems I’ve tried, Ford’s seems to be the worst and the clunkiest. No correction until you leave the lane. I DD a manual Integra and it’s much better at keeping...
  6. Hellion Twin Turbo’s!!!

Wow. That’s intense. Is your car on E85?
  7. Solo performance

I have their Cyclone and it’s amazing
  8. Anyone have experience with these mufflers ? Dynomax

I tried. Didn’t notice enough sound reduction to make it worth it.
  9. (2020 GT) - Full Paint Job Cost?

Thanks. I hadn’t considered this but found a lot of slick looking wraps across the web.
  10. (2020 GT) - Full Paint Job Cost?

Lots of good points here. Thanks all for the feedback. I’ll keep a closer eye on the market around here and see what rolls along.
  11. (2020 GT) - Full Paint Job Cost?

So I have a magnetic metal 2020 GT and have some buyers remorse about not getting the Grabber Lime. I looked at (and liked one) near my house but at the time of purchase it came out to almost $10k more than getting a gray one from a major interstate dealer. Has anyone repainted their car? Any...
  12. Couldn't Resist, lol..side by side comparison -- Mustang EcoBoost vs Mach-E

The instrument panel is also a downer for me in the Mach-E. No gauges?? My wife has an EQS and it has least had digital needles available as a setting: But this is the best the Mach E can do?
  13. Downgrading Mustang GT?

This. I did exactly this. Traded down from a 2005 GT to a 1999 Corolla which I then put 300k on. Get your cost of ownership down as low as possible. Best mpg and a little bit of fun is a base economy car with a 6 speed. If you’re going to downgrade, to me, the only fun is in the total savings.
  14. 2m fab double x

Eh. I tried and couldn't handle the power. Realistically, the XX-pipe arrived a little warped and didn't sit perfectly flat on the ground. Install was a little longer than expected. But there was an awful high-pitched highway drone that no combination of resonators or mufflers could take away...
  15. Department of Boost Super Single Upgrade Kit and Intake Manifold

This is for the air to water intercooler? What’s the rest of your setup?
  16. MPG high and low scores?

2020 GT, 6 MT with 3.55’s I can average up to 27.7 in the summer. Fall/winter temps have dropped it down to 27.3. Most cars I can get 4-5 mpg above the highway number as my average but light suburban use drops it like a rock. Interestingly using 87 I can only get ~25.5 best case. Picked up...
  17. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

I would like to do a custom tune, eventually. But being able to get it installed without a dyno session and have it “good enough” is what’s so tempting
  18. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

Does that mean they will eventually have a canned tune of their own to start with??? That would be huge for a lot of people
  19. Double x Pipe?

I had one and sold it. It sounded slightly higher pitched than a single x. Equally loud. But I only have a resonator catback and it was too loud, with some ear piercing frequencies I couldn’t tone out If you already have an aftermarket X pipe I WOULD NOT spend money on this. It’s not going to...
