Is not Chris Johnson, Formerly JMS, one of the head guys of SEMA now? Chris was one of the original tuners back in the early 90s and helped develop SCTs software. He should be one of our biggest supporters and fighters. This is complete horse crap.
Sure 1200 with boost. That old line is just like the oh you can make 1000hp with the stock throttlebody too. Oh and 1000 hp with stock heads. Dude wants to be NA. Go with Cams!
So I'm waiting for my other cams to arrive. For what ever reason one pair shipped separately so its another 2 weeks before the install. When I removed my lash adjusters a couple were stuck in the bores and came apart.
Should I just replace the two or just go with all new?
wow I started a cool thread!! The tech is awesome. So the basic idea is launch at the maximum torque point and shift at peak HP range where the drop doesn’t go lower than the peak?
There are 3 dyno tests of the TB specifically and then 1 test where they finally use it on a manifold test.
Everytine there was a manifold shootout the CJ always gets the huge 65 and the 18 manifold always the 80 which is hardly a fair comparison. With the 18 being so close I think that it...
Ford Racing 90mm. 8-10hp and stock drivability and tuning.
Ignore that stupidity about the 80 flowing to 900hp, you can push 900 through a straw if you push enough boost. The tests with the 90mm are 8hp from the bottom to the top of the curve across the board this shows a restriction.
There is ALWAYS one of you people. If you are any REAL car guy, you know EXACTLY what it means. You must have been one of those nerds in the cafeteria that got beat on....
Anyone know of anyone running solid lash adjusters for the Coyote? I was going to get a set for my 4v Cobra many years back but when Houston Performance destroyed my heads I never got to install and run them. I did see several Dyno tests they picked up a tremendous gain on the 4v 4.6 and I...
WOW killer info thank you. I really would have thought it would have made at least a 20hp difference. Isn't the "general rule" 1 hp per CFM? As engineer pointed out you do get more flow from lowlift because that is where the valves are open the longest, but man that is not even 5hp.
