  1. Engine is done/seized - 2019 Bullitt

Yeah I agree because my assumption would be that ford/the dealership will swap over as many parts as they can from your old motor. I know its low miles...but basically the more new parts the better.
  2. Engine is done/seized - 2019 Bullitt

Glad to see its warrantied, but I have actually heard of an "engine failure" at 7K Miles. I was very close to making a deal on a Bullitt, but right before I went to make the deal they told me it was not "ready" because it "needed an oil pump". Immediate red flag popped up and after asking a lot...
  3. Bullitt owners only - How old are you?

Yeah I mean as much as I hate to admit it, the Bullitt really IS a parts bin car. Its really nothing insanely special/different/rare/unique. I just liked the color and the fact that is a "little" different lol. So I don't think that the Mach 1 will be much different either. Hard to get and...
  4. Bullitt owners only - How old are you?

There was what...one or two 2019 Kona Blue Bullitt cars that were made (and auctioned off for a very hefty price tag, so yeah his being an 01 makes a lot more sense!) If I was to sink that much money on a blue pony I'd just get a GT350/500 without the stripes. And yeah I have no idea. I think...
  5. Bullitt owners only - How old are you?

The poor SOB bought it, registered it, and then tried to sell it for profit on "Classiccars.com" reportedly he buys and sells a lot of cars at the dealership I got it from. Story goes he has a lot of money and a lot of cars. I searched the vin before I went to go check out/buy the car and saw...
  6. Bullitt owners only - How old are you?

I'm 27 and the main reason I bought it was the color! The additional HP and exclusivity were bonuses for me (Plus I liked the idea of the active exhaust). I was originally eyeing up 15'-16' Guard Metallic GT Premium PP1 cars, but it proved impossible to find one locally with low miles so I wound...
  7. Bullitt owners only - How old are you?

Don't mind the threadjacking (to be expected) it happens everywhere. One thing that I don't understand though (and maybe this is just me?) is people's love for BMW's, Audis, etc. . Don't get me wrong, I really understand that they have some very impressive performance vehicles, but in my...
  8. 2019 BULLITT GT 500 Hood

Love all the mods VooDoo, look good to my eyes, but I don't plan on keeping mine forever so stock it will remain. Love how the purists give you a buncha crap and you just like it because its green! Ha!
  9. Was the Bullitt a great deal after all?

Im happy with mine at right around 45K out the door - "used" with 60 miles on it (yes 60, guy let it depreciate in his garage) They probably weren't a "great deal" new, but I love the depreciation these manual transmission only "lot rocks" took on as it helped me get into one. Mach one is more...
  10. Has anyone fixed a check engine light with a can of "snake oil"?

Yeah I mean I can't argue with anything stated above. Yes Tritons are not a good motor, but with that said there are plenty out there with 200+, if not nearing 300K miles on the original motors before they go. But of course, those example engines are maintained properly. With that said the only...
  11. DailyDriver Truck(2020+) capable of towing your stang

Again probably over the payload, but an "interesting option" is the Diesel v6 PowerStroke available on 2018+ half ton trucks. I know you're using a half ton now and looking for a little more grunt. No real world experience with the motor though just a suggestion on an alternative. Could...
  12. Bullitt owners only - How old are you?

Well we tied for when we bought it, but I'm still 27, so you'll have to take the bronze medal for youngest! lol.
  13. Has anyone fixed a check engine light with a can of "snake oil"?

Hey all, Just a random/fun idea for a thread here that I thought I might throw out after a recent experience. TL;DR at the bottom, started rambling more than I thought I would lol. As my profile states I have an 05 F150 "Flareside" fx4. I had an 86 flareside for a short while...did a little...
  14. Bullitt owners only - How old are you?

27 - 2019 DHG - Bought "used" with 60 Miles on it. Dude before me bought it and thought he could re-sell at a markup. Not sure how or why. Anyway his loss was my gain. But I'm in the minority as far as age of Bullitt owners lol. Wanted an S550, but didn't like any of the colors. I did like...
  15. OEM wheels in Gunmetal grey

you and I have the same sentiments here. There are 0 wheels that "fit" the look of this car that are available in 19" unless you get into the "custom" wheel territory which means $800+ Per wheel, which is a lot of money just for wheels. realistically a set of 4 stock wheels can be had for...
  16. OEM wheels in Gunmetal grey

My "dream" wheels that I could never afford would be custom American Muscle torq thrust 19" wheels. 1000$ per wheel.
  17. OEM wheels in Gunmetal grey

Been wanting to do this with a set...not my set as I don't plan on keeping the car forever (don't like plasti-dip) would want to pick up another set of stock wheels and have them refinished. I would probably get them polished and powder cleared.
  18. Transmission feels like crap when cold on the first few shifts

"Crunchy" Gear shifts were never a big concern, just the slipping shuddering feeling on startup. As it turns out I think a big part of it was tires. I got some all seasons on there to get me through the rest of this winter and it vastly improved the experience while cold.
  19. Mach 1

I just got my bullitt, early dec. but I'm in the same boat as some others. I got my car for the color and look, not "because" it was a bullitt. Really not a fan of anything the GT premiums are offered in. I do like the signature gray-ish color they're showcasing the Mach 1 in though.
  20. Price of premium gas (relative to regular 87 octane)

To parrot others, central NJ is about 50 cents higher. Prices for regular are around 2.50 a gallon, and "premium"/93 is around 3$ even. I've been putting in 93, haven't filled with a tank of 87 to date, but I also only have about 1200 miles on my Bullitt, and the car will be seeing less and...
