I said wrong module as that’s what my Ford dealer told me. They said it was for F250s and some Lincoln models.
  2. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

06/16 for me, so I'd doubt thats the case. Odd.
  3. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

Wow! Its good to know it wasn't just me. This is insane. I'd be interested to know the date of manufacture of our cars. Perhaps they were assembled around the same time and the incorrect modules had been supplied and installed in a multitude of cars around that time. Thanks for the input!
  4. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

That couldn't be it as the mustang and F150's are manufactured in completely separate plants in completely separate states (Mustangs in Dearborn, F150s in KC, MO). Also, no one would have taken it in for warranty throughout the almost 4 years of its lifespan? The module would have never worked...
  5. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

I wish I did, but alas, I don’t. It makes no sense, especially considering the parts, including the blowers, seem to be the same. Maybe amp/voltage regulation? I know the alternators in an F150 (which the ā€˜old’ module was ā€˜designed’ for) put out different voltage and amps.
  6. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

Well, the new module works. The seats are heating up just as expected using the new, ā€˜correct’ part. . So I’m left with a mystery. Who changed it and when, not to mention why.
  7. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

I just got off the phone with them and the only warranty work ever done was for a faulty water pump. I will say that if I install this new ā€˜correct’ module and it does the same thing. I’m gonna lose it, haha.
  8. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

Good call, I’ll do that tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion. We did get a pretty thorough car fax, would that not be in there?
  9. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking. Silly me for buying what was already there. I haven’t. I didn’t even know about him. I’ll keep that in mind for next time (which I’m sure there will be).
  10. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

Just got the car back today. What a shit show. My car has the GU5T-14B663-AA module installed. On the left is the original that came with the car, that only the passenger side cooling was functional. On the right is the new module, where cooling worked on both seats. Neither module had the...
  11. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

I've started browsing other forums for F150s, explorers, even lincoln, seems like a lot of folks have this issue and it the threads end of falling off. One post I saw is that piqued my interest is that there may be a programming issue. Given that someone at some point disabled the seatbelt...
  12. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

Yeah. It was one of the first things I tried after verifying the fuses. That led me down the path of the controller module (which houses the relays) and I found it was bad for the drivers side. I replaced out the drivers side blower motor yesterday, same difference. At this point I’m at a loss...
  13. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

Yeah, this is in line with what I think is going on. I’ve disconnected the back motor and it still happens on the lower seat cushion, so I’m replacing that one. Hopefully it’ll be here soon.
  14. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

Did they tell you what the fix is they’re going to implement?
  15. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

Well adding a second ground (as suggested in the plug/control module replacement issue) did nothing. Same thing, same timing... Damn. @JimC, I went ahead and climbed under the seat during my break to see if the filter would be as easy to clean (or even remove) as @Cobra Jet video suggested, and...
  16. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

I've been reading over this PDF (which has a ton of information in it) and found this regarding recovery mode: "If the Thermo-Electric Devices (TEDs) cool down after 30 seconds, but before 5 minutes (checked at 4 second intervals), the system is operating normally. An overtemperature DTC is...
  17. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

Thanks man. Yeah, I’ve gotten so much from forums with other projects I wanted to give back a little. As far as the seat climate controls on the touch screen, they were disabled, so I enabled them to rule out the physical buttons as a potential issue. That did nothing, they operate the same...
  18. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

Well, the capacitor battery drain did nothing.
  19. Heated/Cooled Seats mystery

My wife and I bought a used 2017 Mustang Ecoboost Premium 6spd manual. So far we love it. But we’ve since run into a couple of issues with the ā€˜premium’ features. The car has heated/cooled seats and in the summer we ran into an issue where the drivers side seat wouldn’t cool. It did nothing, no...
