Ford Tech hot line will only authorize a short block to repair engine knock. I'd like to hear from members whom have had their short blocks replaced. Why and was it successful.

So I've been informed (through Ford) that 2021 gen 3 5.0l has a piston skirt redesign from its preceeding model years to reduce the diesel type knock "some have".

This is concerning since Ford has stated in said tsb that this shity Diesel type knock at idle is not an issue and is normal characteristics of the gen 3 coyote. So now for 2021 the gen 3 has not changed yet the Tsb hasn't been extended to include this model year.
