  1. Caliper painting

You’ve probably found a place by now, but on my previous GT I got them done at this place in Croydon, South London. A bit of a schlep for you but they did a decent job for a very good price. They took my car in and I picked it up the next day...
  2. Mach 1 or Dark Horse

Over here in the Uk (and I presume the rest of Europe) the choice between a Mach 1 and a Dark Horse is more clearcut in my view. Whilst I don’t mind the look of the Dark Horse (although I’ve yet to see one in person) the fact that the power is castrated so much by the nanny environment...
  3. Change Oil Soon Message after 6 mths/6000 miles

Thanks for the responses everyone - really appreciated. Completely understand that a lot of you will change your oil far more frequently than annually but it’s not something I’ve ever done previously and the vehicle has never advised me to do it outside the normal service schedule either, hence...
  4. Change Oil Soon Message after 6 mths/6000 miles

Has anyone had the situation where their ā€˜change engine oil soon’ message popped up when the oil was only changed 6 months/6,000 miles ago? I drive a mixture of local and motorway roads. My car was serviced back in May by a Ford dealer where the oil was supposedly changed. Then at the weekend...
  5. STOCK Mach 1 Fuel Economy (S550)

Sorry I lied - got in the car this morning and it says 25.7 not 24.7! 🤣
  6. STOCK Mach 1 Fuel Economy (S550)

Since I got the car, I’m averaging 24.7 combined on the trip computer (UK spec auto). That’s a combination of motorway and local roads but where weekly mileage is usually 70% motorway miles.
  7. Bubbling bonnet stripe - warranty claim?

That’s just dust/dirt - I hadn’t washed my car for over a week when I took the picture and I just gave it a quick wipe to take the photos.
  8. Bubbling bonnet stripe - warranty claim?

Funny you should ask that as they pretty much all showed up overnight, which I thought was a bit strange. Well, I say ā€˜overnight’ but it was certainly within a week as I noticed it after I washed my car and they hadn’t been then when I previously washed my car a week or so before. It’s just on...
  9. Bubbling bonnet stripe - warranty claim?

Thanks - that’s good to know. Whilst my car is two and half years old it’s still within warranty so I’m hoping whatever it is and what’s caused it Ford will sort it out. However, I know how these things can sometimes go as they do like to wriggle out of things! I also have the ceramic coating...
  10. Bubbling bonnet stripe - warranty claim?

I’m not 100% sure. I’m the second owner but I’m not aware the bonnet has been resprayed but I can check. There aren’t any obvious signs it has though.
  11. Bubbling bonnet stripe - warranty claim?

The bubbles are soft(ish) - they’re certainly not really hard at any rate. So I wouldn’t have thought it was corrosion but I obviously don’t know for sure. Worth raising it with the dealer though.
  12. Bubbling bonnet stripe - warranty claim?

Hi everyone. Has anyone had an issue with bubbles forming on any of their decals? I noticed the other day that a few, albeit small, bubbles have formed on the bonnet stripe decal. The edges don’t look damaged or lifted (e.g. by a pressure washer) and I can’t see any damage to the decal...
  13. UK arrival of S650 Dark Horse

Euro 7 doesn’t come into force until July 2025 so I’m not sure what the first batch of S650 Mustangs will be.
  14. UK arrival of S650 Dark Horse

That’s a lot of dough for potentially a left hand drive car. Still, people will probably pay it. It wouldn’t be so bad if it was a direct import from the US pumping out 500 brake but if it’s Euro 6 then it obviously won’t.
  15. To spoil or not to spoil?

Tricky one. I can only imagine that a large part of your purchase of a Bullitt was based on the way it looks - i.e. it echoes the look of the McQueen Mustang from the film which, if memory serves, didn’t have a spoiler on the back. So on that basis, why would you want to change it? However, i...
  16. UK arrival of S650 Dark Horse

As I think we’re coming to the conclusion is that in the UK there doesn’t seem a lot of benefits of going to a DH from a M1 and a helluva lot of downsides. I was keen to get into a DH myself in a year or so but it doesn’t seem to be a worthwhile ā€˜upgrade’ from my M1 with the things that matter...
  17. UK arrival of S650 Dark Horse

Well, I assume those numbers are correct for the S650 GT and DH as I got them from the spec sheet on Ford UK’s configurator.
  18. UK arrival of S650 Dark Horse

I’m really disappointed with the power output of the UK Dark Horse. At 446 bhp (453 ps) that is significantly less than the US version and barely any more powerful than the GT here (439 bhp / 446 ps). I completely understand that due to EU emission laws the power output will always be less than...
  19. Never Letting My Girlfriend Drive My Mustang Again...

Fair enough if the dealer replaced the bumper - not sure we’d get that from our dealers in the UK! Most would use a company like in the link below. These are the sort of repair specialists we get in the UK that I was referring to. There are loads of them, some privately owned, some franchises...
  20. Never Letting My Girlfriend Drive My Mustang Again...

Am I looking at this right in that you had your bumper taken off just to repair (what looks like) those minor scratches?!? Fair play to you, proper job and all that, but that must have cost. Don’t you have mobile SMART repairers in the US that come to you and do an invisible repair on the...
