Tricky one. I can only imagine that a large part of your purchase of a Bullitt was based on the way it looks - i.e. it echoes the look of the McQueen Mustang from the film which, if memory serves, didnāt have a spoiler on the back. So on that basis, why would you want to change it?
However, i...
As I think weāre coming to the conclusion is that in the UK there doesnāt seem a lot of benefits of going to a DH from a M1 and a helluva lot of downsides. I was keen to get into a DH myself in a year or so but it doesnāt seem to be a worthwhile āupgradeā from my M1 with the things that matter...
Iām really disappointed with the power output of the UK Dark Horse. At 446 bhp (453 ps) that is significantly less than the US version and barely any more powerful than the GT here (439 bhp / 446 ps). I completely understand that due to EU emission laws the power output will always be less than...
Fair enough if the dealer replaced the bumper - not sure weād get that from our dealers in the UK! Most would use a company like in the link below. These are the sort of repair specialists we get in the UK that I was referring to. There are loads of them, some privately owned, some franchises...
Am I looking at this right in that you had your bumper taken off just to repair (what looks like) those minor scratches?!? Fair play to you, proper job and all that, but that must have cost. Donāt you have mobile SMART repairers in the US that come to you and do an invisible repair on the...
Yeah, frustrating but as long as no one was physically hurt then thatās the main thing. Your car can be easily fixed.
As others have said, buff out what you can which will probably make it look ten times better. Looking at your photos though I doubt that will get it all out so my next stop...
Many thanks for confirming the bulbs can be replaced without having to replace the whole unit. As you say though, whether I can get them out and back in again with the unit in place is another matter! Iāll have a poke around at the weekend to see whatās the āart of the possible.ā
Thanks again...
I assume (and it is an assumption) that the housing has two bulbs - one for the indicator and one for the āside light.ā It could well be a different set up in the US though (Iām from the UK).
Now, what I donāt know is if those bulbs can be changed without changing the whole housing. Iām pretty...
Apologies for any potential misunderstanding but I mean the light thatās with the indicator light which is under the main headlight in the lower section of the bumper (see below). So not the day time running lights (DRLs) which are the 3 bars within the main headlight cluster.
Many thanks - I didnāt think it would be an easy swap even if you could do it! I might give it a go though, but Iām not sure my hand and arms will fit down the gaps! š¤£ Not sure if access will be easier from underneath? Iāll be getting and installing a lower splitter in the next couple months so...
Hi all.
Has anyone changed a bulb in their front sidelights or are they sealed units?
For aesthetic reasons Iād like to replace the bulbs with a ācold lightā bulb so that it better matches the LED main lights above. I think it looks a bit weird and kind of makes the car look older with the...
Well, thatās all a bit moody and definitely isnāt something you would expect. In my experience, just speaking to people in the petrol garage for example, that kind of behaviour isnāt generally representative of Mustang owners and enthusiasts, so the organisers could be shooting themselves in the...
I canāt say Iāve ever been to any group meets. What is the general idea with them - simply for Mustang owners to get together and talk about and show off their cars? Or are they meant to be more structured?
Iām not sure if suspension specs are the same in the UK, but in the last month Iāve gone from a GT without MR to a Mach 1 with MR. As others have said, in daily driving you can definitely feel the difference as the MR car is less bouncy and more smooth riding, but I wouldnāt necessarily say itās...
Iād be open to the idea in 3 years time when no doubt Iāll fancy a bit of a change.
However, Iād have to see it in the flesh, sit in one and take it for a test drive before knowing if I wanted one or not. Like many have said, some of its looks and interior choices seem a bit challenging. The...
Only relatively minor stuff for me (until I change it completely to a Mach 1 on Saturday! š¤£)
Bonnet stripes
Yellow brake calipers
GT rear spoiler
The day I got her in Aug 2020
and how she is now
Appreciate your (and everyoneās) view - itās been really helpful. Having thought about I think Iām going to decline the deal and keep the GT. Had the Mach 1 blown me away and felt (to me) night and day different to my GT then I would have gone for it but apart from having a Mach 1 on my driveway...
