  1. To spoil or not to spoil?

Tricky one. I can only imagine that a large part of your purchase of a Bullitt was based on the way it looks - i.e. it echoes the look of the McQueen Mustang from the film which, if memory serves, didnā€™t have a spoiler on the back. So on that basis, why would you want to change it? However, i...
  2. UK arrival of S650 Dark Horse

As I think weā€™re coming to the conclusion is that in the UK there doesnā€™t seem a lot of benefits of going to a DH from a M1 and a helluva lot of downsides. I was keen to get into a DH myself in a year or so but it doesnā€™t seem to be a worthwhile ā€˜upgradeā€™ from my M1 with the things that matter...
  3. UK arrival of S650 Dark Horse

Well, I assume those numbers are correct for the S650 GT and DH as I got them from the spec sheet on Ford UKā€™s configurator.
  4. UK arrival of S650 Dark Horse

Iā€™m really disappointed with the power output of the UK Dark Horse. At 446 bhp (453 ps) that is significantly less than the US version and barely any more powerful than the GT here (439 bhp / 446 ps). I completely understand that due to EU emission laws the power output will always be less than...
  5. Never Letting My Girlfriend Drive My Mustang Again...

Fair enough if the dealer replaced the bumper - not sure weā€™d get that from our dealers in the UK! Most would use a company like in the link below. These are the sort of repair specialists we get in the UK that I was referring to. There are loads of them, some privately owned, some franchises...
  6. Never Letting My Girlfriend Drive My Mustang Again...

Am I looking at this right in that you had your bumper taken off just to repair (what looks like) those minor scratches?!? Fair play to you, proper job and all that, but that must have cost. Donā€™t you have mobile SMART repairers in the US that come to you and do an invisible repair on the...
  7. Never Letting My Girlfriend Drive My Mustang Again...

Love the relationship advice on this post! šŸ¤£
  8. Never Letting My Girlfriend Drive My Mustang Again...

Yeah, frustrating but as long as no one was physically hurt then thatā€™s the main thing. Your car can be easily fixed. As others have said, buff out what you can which will probably make it look ten times better. Looking at your photos though I doubt that will get it all out so my next stop...
  9. Side light bulb replacement

Many thanks for confirming the bulbs can be replaced without having to replace the whole unit. As you say though, whether I can get them out and back in again with the unit in place is another matter! Iā€™ll have a poke around at the weekend to see whatā€™s the ā€˜art of the possible.ā€™ Thanks again...
  10. Side light bulb replacement

I assume (and it is an assumption) that the housing has two bulbs - one for the indicator and one for the ā€˜side light.ā€™ It could well be a different set up in the US though (Iā€™m from the UK). Now, what I donā€™t know is if those bulbs can be changed without changing the whole housing. Iā€™m pretty...
  11. Side light bulb replacement

Apologies for any potential misunderstanding but I mean the light thatā€™s with the indicator light which is under the main headlight in the lower section of the bumper (see below). So not the day time running lights (DRLs) which are the 3 bars within the main headlight cluster.
  12. Side light bulb replacement

Many thanks - I didnā€™t think it would be an easy swap even if you could do it! I might give it a go though, but Iā€™m not sure my hand and arms will fit down the gaps! šŸ¤£ Not sure if access will be easier from underneath? Iā€™ll be getting and installing a lower splitter in the next couple months so...
  13. Side light bulb replacement

Hi all. Has anyone changed a bulb in their front sidelights or are they sealed units? For aesthetic reasons Iā€™d like to replace the bulbs with a ā€˜cold lightā€™ bulb so that it better matches the LED main lights above. I think it looks a bit weird and kind of makes the car look older with the...
  14. UK car meet groups...

Well, thatā€™s all a bit moody and definitely isnā€™t something you would expect. In my experience, just speaking to people in the petrol garage for example, that kind of behaviour isnā€™t generally representative of Mustang owners and enthusiasts, so the organisers could be shooting themselves in the...
  15. UK car meet groups...

Ah right. So youā€™ve tried to join in but have essentially been shunned?
  16. UK car meet groups...

I canā€™t say Iā€™ve ever been to any group meets. What is the general idea with them - simply for Mustang owners to get together and talk about and show off their cars? Or are they meant to be more structured?
  17. Is MagneRide a must have?

Iā€™m not sure if suspension specs are the same in the UK, but in the last month Iā€™ve gone from a GT without MR to a Mach 1 with MR. As others have said, in daily driving you can definitely feel the difference as the MR car is less bouncy and more smooth riding, but I wouldnā€™t necessarily say itā€™s...
  18. Would you guys trade in your current mustang for the 2024 dark horse

Iā€™d be open to the idea in 3 years time when no doubt Iā€™ll fancy a bit of a change. However, Iā€™d have to see it in the flesh, sit in one and take it for a test drive before knowing if I wanted one or not. Like many have said, some of its looks and interior choices seem a bit challenging. The...
  19. Then and now. The visual evolution thread.

Only relatively minor stuff for me (until I change it completely to a Mach 1 on Saturday! šŸ¤£) Bonnet stripes Yellow brake calipers GT rear spoiler The day I got her in Aug 2020 and how she is now
  20. A Good Deal?

Appreciate your (and everyoneā€™s) view - itā€™s been really helpful. Having thought about I think Iā€™m going to decline the deal and keep the GT. Had the Mach 1 blown me away and felt (to me) night and day different to my GT then I would have gone for it but apart from having a Mach 1 on my driveway...
