I ended up with black screws, but with out 'tabs' needed on the front side, wanted to minimize the screw visibility, so I designed and 3D printed some screw covers that snap on. Now just waiting on my plate to arrive. The model is here if anyone wants it...

Did you use a service Shapeways or do you have access to that type of equipment? I've used shapeways to do some metal printing and liked the outcome, but haven't had the need as much beyond my own FDM and resin printers.

I stayed away from CarPlay2Air because of what I’ve read. The Carlinkit U2W was really easy. It made it easy to do a firmware upgrade as well. So far, absolutely no complaints.

I tried one awhile back, and it wasn't nearly strong enough. Maybe if it was mounted to the phone and no case, but still probably not strong enough for spirited driving... ::sunglasses:

Cool, thanks. I tore apart a lot of my Audi before this, so sounds like not too bad. Those toggles the other guy did look pretty good, but more of a replacement for the base model, so probably only partially usable.

I played around and created some keycaps with my resin 3d printer with abs-like resin. Totally doable, I think.

I just bought a 2020 EB premium, and I also dislike those toggles. A lot. I do 3D design and printing, and would love to make a replacement. Anyone have any idea if/how these can come out? I'm afraid they are integrated part of the switch itself.

I started using an ablegrid wireless charger in my car because of spirited driving in the north GA/TN/NC mountains. Magnetic was handy, but in some of the more spirited turns, the phone would slide off. And with magnetic, i can't do wireless charging. This is the holder I'm using...
