Universally Modified Performance in Sterling, VA.
They are great. Had my 2020 lowered and supercharged there. On point, great people, and good communication and follow up.
Good for you! Have you been over to the C8 section of CorvetteForum.com?
They can get pretty stupid mean and cranky, so take that for what it is worth.
Noodle around over there and listen (with a grain of salt) to there worships and complaints.
You could always order one and most dealers will only require a $1K deposit to hold it until the freeze date for your build and allocation comes up. Most dealers are MONTHS away from getting you an actual allocation, so you'd have plenty of time to sleep on it, drive one, go to car shows and...
We have had several vettes and had a C8 on order.
I bought the Mustang in 2020 in the middle of COVID, slapped a supercharger on it and won't ever give it up. It's just hooliganism and straight line acceleration at it's finest. To me, it's going back to my 1968 Mustang I had while going to...
Almost a year ago, October 15th, 2020, I paid $750 for the labor ($125/hr x 6 hours), $337 for the FP lowering springs (Magneride) and $125 for a 4 wheel alignment in Northern VA for a performance shop to do that. Probably could have saved $100 here and there getting it done, however, that was...
LOL...we bailed and live in Naples, FL now. Took the pony car and our corvette on the auto train down here. Was brilliantly fun! Don't miss VA at all...you can have it. : )
In June of 2020, we drove from Phoenix to Tyson's Corner, VA and the car averaged 25.2ish mpg. I cruised around 80, it took 3 full days of driving and I had the car loaded with suitcases, two white fluffy dogs, and the wife.
It was bone stock at the time and had 800 total miles on it. It...
I have a 2020 PP1 w/Magenride and it is lowered with the GT350 Ford springs (or whatever they're called). Ironically, I am thinking of adding spacers.
How much did you have to trim off the studs? Front and rear both? How did you do it?
I'm just beating around the bush in doing it and am lazy.
Just relocated from Northern Virginia to Ft Myers/Naples area.
Does anyone have any good experience with a dealer here? Maybe a service advisor's name?
Ones to stay away from?
Thanks!
Did you drive it in the snow earlier this week? I saw (and heard) a bunch of Mustangs going by when it was snowing and the day after.
Not that I would ever drive mine in the snow (princess car problems) but I was curious how it handled? Probably like any other car if you drove it smartly...
Fuel economy but you shouldn't care if your'e going to put a supercharger on it.
Traction control takes over sooner (turn it off if you wish).
You could burn through tires quicker if you go nuts.
It costs money.
You only live once...
Similar situation. Purchased 2020 in May, drove cross country from AZ to VA in June, supercharged it in October after researching and thinking about it for 2 months.
You won't be disappointed unless you are concerned about fuel mileage. LOL
I had a reputable shop instal my Edelbrock...
That answered a question I had over in the 'wheels' section.
Stupid question...do you have any pics of your wheels? I too have PP1 wheels and am looking to push them out a wee bit more.
Thanks!
