I did not need a tune revision. I emailed lund asking if I did. I was told should not be necessary but if anything doesn't go as planned just email them and they can take a look. Its been 3 weeks and car is running strong with no revision needed.
I haven't noticed that. My rpms are pretty normal/consistent. Now that I have the headers on I don't hear the tick, even at idle the sound of the exhaust is enough to drown out any ticks or taps lol..its a thing of the past now.
Mmm not really from the green cats there are 2 adapter pipes that connect to the x pipe..each are roughly 8 inches long and have a 45 degree bend. Then it goes straight from the x pipe to the stock active mufflers in the back.
Will do, I contacted lund racing and asked John if I needed to have a tune revision done, he said I shouldn't but if for some reason I do just reply back and they would get me taken care of.
Stopped at the shop and my car is done..springs and headers are installed. Got in and fired it up..and holy moly. Let it idle down, and walked around the back to talk to the owner of the shop and his tech got in and hit the throttle..I was not prepared..bout blew my ear drums out lol. If I...
I didn't start this thread to beat a dead horse. The tick is what it is, if I have to drop some friction modifier in every 5k miles then so be it. I'm not worried about catastrophic engine failure etc..just wasn't expecting it after 3800 tick free miles..like I said it goes Saturday to get the...
Like I said I didn't buy into the tick either, my car was dead quiet..no taps, ticks, or rattles all way way up to 3800 miles..took it to the dealer had state inspection done and first oil change. Drove home and garaged it, wasn't till the next day when my wife called me asking if something is...
Don't be condescending, it is well known some manufactures have/or still are filling with oil off the line contains additional additives to help with engine break in, that aren't found in your conventional off the shelf oils unless you buy the additive separately and add it yourself. Usually...
I find it really strange that a lot of owners develop the tick after the first oil change. I'd have to wager that oil from the factory has to have some type of modifier in it to mask the tick. My engine was quiet as could be, now after this first oil change it sounds like someone is pelting...
Yeah I was dreading it, it actually threw me off when I heard just how loud the tick actually was..I was like wtf..that's a hell of a tic lol its loud enough that it resonates through my xpipe. I really romped on It and still runs like a champ and after about 2500rpm you can't hear anything but...
Well I thought I lucked out with my 2020 gt, 3800 miles and no tick..pulled it out of the garage from winter storage and took it to the dealer yesterday for state inspection and it's 1st oil change. Didn't notice any noise on the drive home so I thought I was in the clear. I'm at work this...
I went with the SR performance springs 1" in the front and rear. I do not have MR. I got the base GT M6, no fancy goodies lol besides the extra package the dealer added that gave me active exhaust and the upgraded sync 3.
So far I've done 25mm spacers all around, borla crossfire x pipe, Holly...
