  1. Install PP Gauges on Non-PP Model - Recap

That's what I had to do on my '16. This video isn't 100% accurate for our cars, since it's for a 2012, but it was close enough to get me where I needed to be. You can either add an new wire to the harness, and not have to worry about potentially damaging the pin when you try to remove it, or you...
  2. Install PP Gauges on Non-PP Model - Recap

From my understanding of the system, there are two pins on the upper ECU connector that provide Oil Pressure. Pin 48 and Pin 57. Non-PP cars (GTs anyways) use a basic open/close circuit on Pin 48 for the warning light. If there's pressure, the circuit's closed, and there's no light. If there's...
  3. Shelby Styled Shift Light

So, I know I said that this is for cars with the Adaptive Cruise Control, but...that's only because it includes the HUD. If you don't have that already, you can buy the new defroster grille and HUD module for less than $200. Don't think there's anything else needed, but I've been wrong before...
  4. Shelby Styled Shift Light

Itā€™d probably be similar to the same process as the digital gauge swap. Not sure though. I didnā€™t look into it. Didnā€™t seem worth it to me just to get a shift light and a digital speedometer. Compressing the speedometer sweep to add the 160-200 range didn't make sense for me going around town...
  5. Shelby Styled Shift Light

Not certain what Forscan changes would be needed (maybe someone else will chime in on that), but the base cluster won't help any. The signal for the GT350 shift light comes from the GT350 cluster, so you'd have to swap that in too. I didn't want to go that route.
  6. Shelby Styled Shift Light

Awesome. Yeah, I'm adding comments to the code and fixing some of the small glitches I still have, then I'll share a link to all of the source code with some instructions on how to assemble it all.
  7. Shelby Styled Shift Light

Maybe one day, but I'm a software guy and not good at hardware. Maybe if I had some free time, and maybe a 3D printer and scanner to make something that doesn't need hot glue. This is a hobby for me, no intention of turning it into a side hustle. Besides, even though it might be alright for me...
  8. 16 to 18 Mustang Sync 3.0 to 3.4?

Iā€™m on Build 20021 and havenā€™t noticed any issues yet, but Iā€™ve probably driven less than 200 miles since the update.
  9. 16 to 18 Mustang Sync 3.0 to 3.4?

It's true that they're no longer hosted on that site. However, use the download tool they have listed there, whatever the most recent version of the tool is on the site. Right now, it's 2.0. It'll download your desired version of Sync from the official Ford links and once the download has...
  10. Shelby Styled Shift Light

It's mostly plug and play, as far as the car is concerned, if you have Adaptive Cruise. Obviously wiring and programming the Arduino isn't, but the rest pretty much is. I did make a small cut on the original enclosure though, for the new wires to escape. Otherwise, I replaced the original LED...
  11. Shelby Styled Shift Light

Alright, so obviously I don't want to plug a laptop into my car every time I want to make a simple change to the HUD, especially while I'm dialing it into my preferences. It'd be like needing to use Forscan to switch pages on the small digital display in the gauge cluster. So, I built an iPhone...
  12. Shelby Styled Shift Light

The great thing about an Arduino is that it's very easy to program. Yes it's code (C-programming language) but making an Arduino do what you want is significantly easier than writing a full Windows/OSX application. Primarily, this is because so many examples exist already that all you have to do...
  13. Shelby Styled Shift Light

The standard Mustang HUD is a circuit board with 18 LED lights, and it's the same part number whether it's on a Shelby or not. However, at some point in time after Feb 2016, Ford redesigned the part and the older one is no longer available. Aside from the sweep of the curve between the two, I'm...
  14. Shelby Styled Shift Light

A little background first: I have a ā€˜16 GT with Adaptive Cruise. For those unaware, that means my car came with a collision avoidance system that includes a HUD. Pretty much it lights up a series of LEDs in the dash, that reflect off the windshield to catch your attention. Itā€™s a pretty smart...
  15. Vegas Area Alignment Shops?

Thanks! Sounds like just the place.
  16. Vegas Area Alignment Shops?

Took advantage of my time during COVID to install some new parts on my car and need to get an alignment done. Anyone have advice on a place that's capable with non-factory cars? The Goodyear/Superior Auto down the street from me wouldn't touch it.
  17. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

I used a basic spray bottle with water. Lots of water. The BWG instructions specifically say not to use a soap solution, and the water alone worked well for me. The hood was one of the easier pieces, since it's a relatively simple shape. The bumpers were trickier, since they have more complex...
  18. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

I installed my Big Worm Graphix stipekit. Although that was yesterday, not today, but itā€™s still close enough for government work. Now I just need to take some better pictures of it, not in my garage. Gloss black and silver metallic
  19. Trade in with a loan question

If your car is worth more than you owe, itā€™ll pay off your loan, and any extra will be yours to do what you want with. If you want it applied to the new car, then the finance department will treat it like a down payment to lower the total loan value. And just for thoughts: KBB is more accurate...
  20. Install PP Gauges on Non-PP Model - Recap

Alright well, after getting a Lund tune, the gauge still didn't work. After a little back and forth with them, I decided to look under the car, and was surprised to find the single wire sending unit. So, I went to the dealer and bought a new unit and pigtail. Far too expensive for what it is...
