Typically what we see with less expensive tires is that they do not wear as well over time and the rubber gets harder and louder as they get older. Reason is not as much rubber in the tire. Other byproducts are in the rubber. Compare a Michelin pilot to a cheap tire. The Pilot is a darker...
So one thing also to remember, and I have seen it when inspecting wheels. People will put aftermarket wheels on their cars, then just torque them to the 150lbs. Look at the stud and make sure the retaining clip is off if the wheel does not have a recessed area on the mounting pad for it...

Tires there are a few, for a spare if I could find a cheap chinese brand I would go that route, not like ya gonna run it 100 miles or more.
