  1. GT350R Surrogate

My opinion would be this: If you are going to track this car then the CTR. For a daily and all around performer I say GR. I think you'll enjoy either one.
  2. GT350R Surrogate

How to close to 350R performance are you trying to get?
  3. I am Seeking Advise - What Would You Do?

    Congrats! You'll love it
  4. I am Seeking Advise - What Would You Do?

Post some pictures when you get it!
  5. I am Seeking Advise - What Would You Do?

I get that. Dubai is extremely hot I spent some time there. I personally don't like convertibles so for me the orange CS would be the obvious choice.
  6. I am Seeking Advise - What Would You Do?

Having something exclusive means a lot to people though. The most exclusive option for a lot of people is very appealing.
  7. I am Seeking Advise - What Would You Do?

If you aren't in love with the convertible and actually prefer the fastback then why not get the orange CS? At the end of the day it is your money. Is 15k worth it to have possibly the most exclusive CS/PP/MR/Convertible? Or is a pretty rare orange CS that you might actually like more a better...
  8. I am Seeking Advise - What Would You Do?

Let me throw my 2 cents in here. If a convertible is appealing to you get it. Unless you do a lot of driving on bad roads or you do track days a lot then I say skip magnaride. I have it and love it but if I needed to cut an expensive option that would be the one I'd personally cut.
  9. Anyone else not get active exhaust?

Most people's second mod after a catch can is exhaust. So I don't think it's really a big deal. But OP, nothing says you can't add it later if you really want it. When I drive normal even in track mode my (currently stock) exhaust isn't that loud. "Regular" Mustang exhaust sound is still better...
  10. Anyone else not get active exhaust?

I have active exhaust on my Mach 1 and I leave it in track mode. Get an aftermarket exhaust that you like and don't worry about it is my opinion. I never use the quieter modes.
  11. No one likes my 2018 GT

Lol 80 is in fact legal here on the interstate. And MHP is pretty lenient on speeding.
  12. Mach 1 features not available on GT's (other than the obvious)

My Mach 1 has the ambient lighting. It does not however have all the other things like backup sensors and lane monitoring. If those are truly important to you keep your 2020 GT. What the Mach 1 does have is as high of handling performance as you can get without having a GT 350. It had an...
  13. 2016 Mustang GT PP Vs 2021 Mustang GT PP What is better?

I know I'm a month late here but having owned all the cars in this thread here are my thoughts: I hated my 15 GT PP car it handled poorly and I bought a Camaro SLE. The camaro was amazing. It handled excellently and was the best bang for the buck I ever had. Then I got married. My wife...
  14. Would you guys take off your snow tires before a road trip?

You leave the winter tires on and at 50 degrees they might wear slightly faster. Big deal. P-Zeros are the WORST cold weather tire I have ever driven. Under 40 they are ice skates. Not worth it to me. Switch to the summers after your trip is my opinion.
  15. clunking noise downshifting from gear to neutral after laps on track

I totally understand. I did have 3 of those before so it is annoying. I dont know if this is related or not buy a co-worker replaced his two piece driveshaft with a one piece aluminum one. His tranny doesn't clunk. Maybe coincidence maybe not.
  16. clunking noise downshifting from gear to neutral after laps on track

I assume your transmission is the MT82? I had 3 of those and two clunked from day one. Never had an issue other than it was annoying. Like the poster above me suggested, changing your fluid in it could help and after several track days you probably want to change it (and your diff oil too). I...
  17. Hellcat widebody vs my 2018 mustang PP1 10spd

Unless there is serious driver error a widebody Hellcat should easily pass up a non boosted 5.0. They have a lot of weight so it may appear close 0-40 on a cold street from a stop light but after that hellcat is too much.

  19. Former S197 5.0 Owners

It isnt just in your head. The 15-17 S550s are slower in 1/4 mile performance than the S197 counterparts. 18+ with manuals are a bit quicker and the 18+ A10s are a lot quicker than the S197s. I had a 15 PP M6 car and I immediately regretted it coming from a 13 track pack.
  20. 19 Whipple mt82 consistently pulling timing at 3,000 rpms.

Certainly a possibility that the pulley is causing harmonics and setting off the knock sensors. I would still check the tune and consider going back to the 93 tune. If the 93 tune does the same thing then replace the pulleys.
