Wife and I took mine for a drive last weekend and I just made sure to let the car warm up completely before driving. I try to at least start it once a week during the winter.
Just don't listen when your wifey asks you to punch it at 60mph in cold conditions with cold tires;
I just got my pair installed from the group buy. White scoops that I painted black on the outside. I'm pretty satisfied, but there is a little gap on the driver's side scoop against the grill. I'll probably stick a pc of black duct tape between the two.
The installer never took my shutters out. But, I'm planning on removing them in a few weeks, as I have a new screen for my grille as well as a couple Velossatech air scoops coming to me.
I use my car just for fun as I don't have any tracks near to me, but I did happen to punch it once last...
I bought that exact kit from Steeda a few months ago when it was on sale. Around $1200 if I recall correctly. I love it. I like the idea it was track designed by Ford. It's stiff, but not unreasonable for a daily driver. (Unless your area has a lot of potholes or bad roads.)
I just about went for the Odin, but in the end, the warranty on the Roush P2 is what won me over. Looking forward to see more people's experiences with the Odin. Maybe on my next car.....
Yep, Estes Park, Colorado as of about 1 hour ago. It was almost 90 degrees here yesterday and a high of 28 today....lol. Forecasters are calling for up to 14" by tomorrow morning here. We'll see what happens...
I can't report on the 123 bug or any timeslips, but the wife and I took the car to Estes Park Colorado for the holiday weekend. About 500 miles one way from central Kansas and an altitude change of about 6,000'. Maximum altitude reached about 9,200'.
No hiccups, heat issues or anything. Great...
I think this is one of the very few advantages to living in flyover country (Kansas). Long, straight, level and wide roads (for farm equipment) and not many traffic cameras / cops / traffic.:sunglasses:
