I've had the stage 2 power pack and it ran fine on 91 octane. Never heard any pinging. I've since switched to a PBD 91 octane tune and it runs well, but seems a little more sensitive to fuel quality and air temps, but still no audible knock. Even in 100° + ambient and IATs over 130°, I've only...
I have a 2017 GT/PP with the tick since first oil change. Currently about 18k on the odo. I put it 150ml of ceratec and it almost instantly disappeared. I've put on about 1000 miles since I poured it in, and still no tick. Runs sewing machine smooth now.
+1 on performance/survival driver's training. There are a few schools out there that even have a skid car, which can induce traction loss at very low speeds. Skid cars can be very helpful in learning vehicle dynamics and recovery skills. Plus, you get to take traction to it's limits and beyond...
Update: As to #3.... My wife came home and was able to reach the firewall and install the plug! Her arms were just long enough and skinny enough to go between the strut tower bar and the K brace. Guess I gotta buy her something nice now...
I just install the Ford Performance Power Pack 2 on my 2017 GTPP. This is not going to be an install guide. There's plenty of info already out there on this forum and YouTube. I just wanted to share a couple things I experienced and learned from when I installed mine.
1. Disconnect the negative...
Just had my 2017 GT PP in for regular service and they told me my RR wheel bearing needed to be replaced. My car only has 16k on it and I've never raced it or even done a burnout. It's on stock suspension with a Steeda subframe brace. I was surprised to hear this is such a common issue.
I also learned that my sto-n-go license plate mount would not work with this lip, since it sits a bit further forward. Once I get a chance to get some aluminum stock, I'll TIG some extensions onto the mounts.
I just installed this on my '17 GTPP and it wasn't too bad. I decided to leave the bumper on the car, as I wanted it to hold its shape while fitting the new lip to it. When I removed the factory lip, I found that it had a stiff plastic support brace held in by a few plastic tabs and a couple...
Hello,
I'm CrowdControl_5.0 and I'm have been lurking around on this forum and learning a lot. It's been a great resource for me and I've decided to register and participate.
I come from the motorcycle world and have been into it for a long time, but I recently got injured (not motorcycle...
